"High Fashion" and fast fashion are completely indistinguishable. It's all seasonal trends and not built to last or actually do anything. That buzzword has always seemed retarded to me because definitely all fashion is fast fashion. The distinction is a complete joke. Materials either are either durable or they are not, they are either engineered to be warm or they are not, they either breathe or they do not. They either dry quickly or they do not, they either have abrasion or puncture resistance or they do not. The caveat I will give is the dress has obvious function in that a loose dress meant that pregnancy wouldn't mean buying more clothes as often if you used a looser gown. And the obviously pre tampon, when women just used rags, it meant less ruined clothing. Dresses did have a logical function.But that said, if you are into 'fashion', the stores you are complaining about are actually the best option. If the purpose of the clothes are to fulfill a 'fashion' that will be over within 18 months then actually zara and hm are your best choice.
