Do people like this know they're dressed bad or what? I don't get how you can go outside like this.

you're saying that these type of folk who did Calculus-tier mathematics for 6+ years for an engineering degree or Master's probably wouldn't know or care about anything related to fashion? WOW

What would Igor know about having a career lol? He made 10+ threads a day, every day, for the past decade. Obviously he doesn't have a job. Unless you call making hateful comments online a job. I don't.

I forget there are terminally-ill autists that live in their mom's basement here. I wished mods just banned repeat spammers.

Surely the first thing you learn once you start caring about clothing is that it's something most people couldn't give a shit about? Fast fashion and casualwear have won. What that guy's wearing might look shit, it might be made by de-facto serfs for pennies-an-hour, in a factory with a laissez-faire attitude to quality control, but it is also very, very normal to dress like that. The only people who will compliment your quality outfits will be your adopted subculture, and maybe some old people who remember when you could buy clothes with decent stitching on the high street.

I'm a software engineer in bigtech and all I care about is clothes.

no, dressing well will get you in places you couldnt otherwise go, into conversations with people who otherwise wouldn't bother, into situations you otherwise wouldnt find yourself in. If you want to normalize sweatpants in public, if you want to imagine wearing such slop doesn't come with social cost, by all means. You are wrong.

    >If you want to normalize sweatpants in public, if you want to imagine wearing such slop doesn't come with social cost, by all means.
You've misunderstood what I said. My opinions are a grain of sand on an entire beach of people who barely give a monkeys about clothing. I think dressing well is important for people's self-esteem and self-expression, I think every working class lad in Britain wearing jet black tracksuits all of the time is a symptom of the death of social mobility, and fast fashion's cheapening of clothing is bad for those people, the makers and even the planet itself. I really, really do care about clothing in a plethora of ways, but even the blokes who work in the City of London dress like Keir Starmer, and I operate at a level several social standings beneath that lot. Meaning I could dress far more carelessly than I do and I'm not sure it would have much, if any material effect on my life. I suppose that barrista in Costa said he liked my outfit a couple of months ago, that was nice.

I would sincerely like to know how dressing well has effected you, because I suspect most people just quietly assume I'm being pretentious by wearing a shirt and shoes.

asians are so repulsive. the waddling is something thar pisses me off more than anything

I can understand why he dresses like this. Most tech bros are just a bunch of nerdy fags that don't really know any shit about fashion since they're just going to be sitting at an office desk all day, but 200 bucks for a fit like this is a bit outrageous. He can literally get the same fit if he didn’t get it from Lululemon, or at least find the piece vintage instead.

.t unemployed anon who couldn't afford anything beyond 50 bucks.

I got really depressed seeing this. I have a way better face than him, but that's my exact body. all the way down to the skinny legs and pudgy stomach
