I like seeing enemies that aren’t the standard human skeleton structure with something like cat ears attached. It feels like the engine's limiting your creativity
>>
>>11581507
That's nothing to do with game engine (Godot) and more to do with the codebase.
Engines like RPGmaker and RenPY really pigeonhole you into certain types of games which makes it very easy to make those games while making it difficult to innovate (though some do), whereas an engine like Godot or Unity you can really do whatever you want.
>>
So the other day someone posted this picture on a /v/ architect thread, and i went down the rebbiat hole to end up finding the model in some 10+ year old abandoned skyrim modding forum. So I decided to play around with it. Once I polish the thing a bit more I´ll release the base for free for fellow devs, https://files.catbox.moe/g1ye1s.mp4

To the anon who mentioned/recommended Naked Ambition in the last thread, I just wanna say thank you, it's pretty fun even though I'm a bit of a brainlet and took a bit to actually understand the way you're meant to game the system.

>>11581507
It doesn't have anything to do with the engine. Adding cat ears to the Human skeleton also allows you to reuse existing equipment, animations, and moves. That includes counter animations or grapples. Creating a new skeleton is a lot of extra work (the horse animations are mostly taken from the centaur for example). I can create 10+ ear-tail-only monstergirls in the time it takes to make a new skeleton.
>>11581522
It also doesn't have anything to do with the codebase, new textures and animations will always take more time than reusing them.
>>
If I'm making a text RPG with social and sexual stats and such, should I just do it in html or try to do it with godot? I've seen some people do text games in that and it's more flexible, but html is simple.
>>
>>11581579
HTML is good as long as you design the ui well. Zero effort installing on any OS is very valuable

For a text only game I wouldn’t say Godot is more flexible. HTML can do all you need unless you’re planning to scale the visual quality up to something like ace attorney. And even then it’d probably be doable
>>
Crosscode was made with html, but they’re insane for doing that
>>
>>11581585
That's interesting, hopefully the next thing they do is a little better.

Question for y'all:
When it comes to dating sims, waifu collectors, or just games with fuckable companions... What kind of character archetypes, personalities and tropes you think are a must-have? Which ones you think are underused and want to see more? Do you often go for your favourite and ignore the rest, or are you more of a completionist who wants to see all of them, even if not to your taste?
>>
>>11581584
I'm sure I can just google it, but does anybody have a favorite guide to RPGs in html they'd recommend?
>>
>>11581599
Only ones I can think of are neopets, kingdom of loathing, and runescape. There’s not many
>>
>>11581598
Completionist. I want more diversity; sometimes I want to wife an asian or brown girl and there’s only one in the entire game. A lot of games think ethnic diversity means all white girls with different hair colors and/or personalities. it’s so boring
>>
>>11581598
Katawa Shoujo is a good example of balanced character structure.
There 5 love interests, each of them feels unique with depth that unfolds as the story progress.
What's difficult is the balance of depth/unique character/attractiveness. In Starless I did all the routes because I was curious about the hardcore content.
>>
>>11581598
I'd rather have characters who are more than archetypes or tropes in any story that isn't just a comedy.

There's nowhere near enough rpgmaker games with weight gain mechanics and/or fat MC. Even better if her increasing weight stat affects the gameplay, like you can't wear your old equipment anymore since it won't fit, your speed stat drops, you can't run away from battles anymore, certain NPCs talk to her differently, etc etc.

As for your question I typically go for the ones who seem most captivating and fleshed-out to me. If a character is too one-note, I can lose interest. A good story with the character is excellent and very attractive.
>>

Unfortunately I don't think there a RPG specific HTML guides. You can learn the basic principles and architecture of RPG, also ai is pretty good for learning.
If you are planning to use twine/sugarcube you can also decompile popular games to analyze their structure.
>>
>>11583351
What might be good is, find a web developer that’s published their base ai webdev prompt online. That should be a dense page of best practices to follow, although it’d be sort of biased to personal taste

>>
You should generally assume that when someone is asking for a tutorial, they want to learn how to actually DO something rather than how to prompt AI.
>>
With all of these people claiming that AI makes it so easy to make games, you'd think that at least ONE of them would have actually released something by now. But this time is different I swear!

Turns out you still have to be a decent writer or have a really impressive grip on a fetish to make a compelling game. The Goblin's Pet guy is doing some impressive slopwork though.
>>
>>11583532
It's this. AI can do some heavy lifting, but you still need level of talent and effort to make something decent. I've seen some decent ones though, that is to say on a level of quality that is at least on par with a passable h-game.

Hey man, I was the one who gave you feedback here on the readability of Ero Slayers around half a year ago. I'm happy to see you took the feedback seriously because the game's readability has massive improved since then and it's much more pleasant to play now as a result of it. Good job.

Please don’t get mad at me but haven’t lurked in a year+, what’s the current popular game for feminization/transformation type stuff
>>
>>11583766
Specifically like text based stuff, CoC back in the day was great
>>
>>11583766
All I know is that TiTs and CoC2 have been adding content for the past ten years. But I’m not searching actively for these either. Feels like I played everything a long time ago
>>
>>11583766
There's a bunch of them but your choices are always Alpha ver.00000001 with 20 minutes of content or a hyper-realistic chores simulator with some repeatable sex scenes. No idea what the actual good ones are now.
>>
>>11583848
TiTS and CoC2 don't really have feminization content as such because transformations are 99% optional and consensual in those games, so there's no real process.
>>
>>11583766
Idk about transformation, but Paradise Succubus was pretty popular recently.
>>
>>11583451
i've only been at it for a week, you only need to wait one more week, trust me
>>
At the risk of potentially getting yelled at to go to /aco/, has anyone here played Zombie Retreat 2 or SlutCraft?

>>11583766
Another anon mentioned it, but Paradise Succubus has 1 route specifically dedicated to feminization, plus another route for becoming a girl altogether. Another game (unfortunately a work in progress) that is likely up your alley would be Agent Feminine.

>>11581783
I'm a Lilyfag because she's somehow one of the only routes where the MC's illness actually gets brought up and seems to matter. Also she's a cute.

>>11583991
>Agent Feminine
>Banner is some kind of blacked nonsense
Well that's not a good sign for this game.
>>
>>11583994
From having played it, there's only one specific character that's black, you're otherwise in Thailand, so that's the main ethnicity you'll be encountering. Don't ask me why the banner is like that.
>>

There are two games called Agent Feminine and Female Agent and they're both about being a CIA agent in Thailand and taking loads of dick. What a funny coincidence.
>>
>>11584261
Female Agent got stalled/abandoned for so long, someone made a MTF parody of it called Future Agent. Which, ironically, f95 has marked "abandoned" too.
>>
>>11584261
>>11584265
Female Agent was surprisingly competently written for what it is. Could have been a decent spy thriller without the porn.
Wouldn't be surprised if it got abandoned because the author went on to write something better than smut.

>>
>>11584265
Wasn't the parody called Girl Spy? I remember playing it, it was pretty good. I don't think it was abandoned so much as the author wanted to make a quick parody for fun/as a love letter, and was only going to finish it if there was big demand.

Back here, still wanting to talk about making game design and erotic psycology dovetail into each other.

The big difference between erotica and horror is that fear has a pretty consistent pool of stimuli between people. Arrousal is more varied, the big broad dividing line is how some want to dominate, while others want to be dominated.

In terms of breaking typical game design rules in service to the mood, I'm thinking poor communication could serve a feeling of helplessness. Make the player trial-and-error through the challenges to make them feel powerful.
Perhaps this could pair well with a bit of foddian game design where the protagonist is trying to escape a lewd dungeon and gets dumped back in thier cell every time they lose, or at least slips closer to start each time they fail.

>>
>>11584268
technically speaking it was not abandoned, the author continues to release updates rewriting existing scenes and adding plot-irrelevant flashback arcs to the game I think 7 years on from the last update that progressed the story, and is still making just under $3000 a month on patreon

this is not related, but I think it's weird that the portal lady calls the player a "retarded broad" in her loss dialog.

I forgot the name of the game and site where I downloaded it from, but it was a Godot turn based dungeon crawler RPG with prerendered sex scenes. You play as a "nerd" girl, you can swap costumes, go down the dungeon and fight/sex all creatures (slime, goblins, lizards, minotaurs etc)
The main mechanic was a "cum capacity"

It optimizes a bunch of the code to make the game run faster, adds some quality of life stuff, and a couple cheats. Also updated the game to Java21/25 (from Java8).

Okay, I will be the one who actually answers your questions.

>What kind of character archetypes, personalities and tropes you think are a must-have?
Naive young woman (bonus if she is into sports or tailoring depending on where and when story takes place), woman who wants to date you and is always telling that right in your face, but her tone isn't romantic at all, instead she sounds very casual about it and isn't dissapointed if you reject her, insufferable bitch that player have to chase after and please every of her whim's to date her, smart woman with a hobby or duty that she occasionally choses to spend her time on instead of being with you, but she still likes you very much, she just isn't totally consumed by romance to abandon everything else in her life, female matchmaker side character that gelps you to date her friend (bonus for matchmaker being mc's childhood friend or your future wife's mother who is on your side instead of her daughter's.)
>Which ones you think are underused and want to see more?
Reverse trap (bonus if she is trying to steal your wonan, but accident reveal she is a female herself), monser girl but not the attractive type, think of Gwyndolin from DS1 who have multiple snakes for shinhs type of monster girl that will trigger people to look down on you for dating her, non-jealous all-mighty goddess to whom you are just a little more than a sex toy, but you have benefits from being with her, like borrowed magical powers, very tall lanky woman (bonus for being a volleyball player or having black hair and wearing rectangular glasses and maybe being shut-in).
>Do you often go for your favourite and ignore the rest, or are you more of a completionist who wants to see all of them, even if not to your taste?
I go for favorite or few of them if they are as good.
>>
>game full of ai assets

I never really enjoyed games that made you read way too much text in the first place anyway. I always thought that if you want to go read erotica, you already got plenty places for that outside of videogames. Give me a few descriptive lines and move on with the plot.

Some time ago I had an idea for rpg game about healsluts. I imagined it to be co-op 3d action game with third person perspective and rpg elements, one player chooses from a healer classes the other chooses from tank classes and then they start descending into fantasy dungeon to kill mobs and gather treasures. Players can level up to unlock new abilities and equip better gear, but if some floor becomes too hard, they can leave the dungeon and spend their money in the town (menu type) on equpment and useful items, then they can choose where they want to go from the list of dungeons that have different types of enemies in them and recommended level. If players lose, then either they are punished by a gold and lvl fee and sent back in town or lose they characters and start all over again, in either case I think that having cutscene of monsters raping both players as loss screen is cool.
In terms of what would make it a healslut game and not just another action rpg aside: suggestive emotes like dom slapping their healer's butt, patting the head, etc., sex emotes that make one suck partner's dick, rim ass, facesit etc. with emotes that require specific surroundings, like bending over the table as well, and the last feature I could come up with was game being able to synch with healslut's butt plug to either vibrate from applying healing or being controlled by dom via button imputs. Ofcourse it can also have voice chat so it will be easy to play with strangers.

It is all cool but, I then thought about how much people would play it and felt like not being worth developing. People already play MMOs and hero shooters and are doing fine, it feels redundant to have a game that offers co-op against mobs with just you two being there while other games offer much bigger social aspect and/or amount of content. Something makes me feel like such game wouldn't get even a small playerbase despite being tailor-made for healsluts and tankdoms.

>>
>>11587327
Well, this fetish is rooted in ERP so the game is supposed to be an advanced vehicle for that. If you make it single player, then it would feel hollow to play for subs and pointless for doms.
>>11587344
That's what I'm thinking and talking about. It really feels that making a normal mmo is a better for this fetish because people will just figure out how to do it themselves. But it feels so counterintuitive that something that is made specifically for the fetish is worse than something that doesn't focus on it at all, it makes my brain ache.
>>
>>11587622
Peoples' imagination outweighs anything an h-dev could ever develop. Any developer is likely harnessing that imagination because either
>text game, it describes your character and you just imagine how the sex scene works with that text description of the character
or
>art-heavy game, it doesn't give full details of what's going on but you can imagine it from character expressions and actions

An already existing MMO is good because it gives players all those tools like the emotes/posing, dress-up etc that they can roleplay with.

it's about mindset. happily indulging in sluttery isn't for me but acquiescing out of fear or feelings of inferiority is hot. if you mean specific games, there are some, but I don't really keep a database of it in my head, not great at that sort of thing.
>>
More options are almost always better. It’s like making a console game randomizer. You want as many options as possible, even if they’re game breaking
>>
>>11588432
The only time I've seen this implemented is in one of those acerola feMC slut games. In addition to a general lewdness corruption value there's a sadist/masochist axis and you get different dialogue whenever it's too far on either side.

The problem with this kind of system is that dialogue increases exponentially the more axes of corruption you add.

I'm glad someone's finally talking about this game. There's a few problems i have with it, but none of them ruin the core gameplay loop. Hey, speaking of which... does anyone here know how to decompile with Claude/GPT yet? I think it'd be cool, if someone had ai rewrite pnc and daggerfall in RUST, and then combine them together into a procedurally generate porn rpg. You could even add other monster girls into the game, like the hdoom and mgq 3d enemies.

>>
>>11590164
Honestly, Daggerfall/arena and ultima underworld are the only games it would make sense. You'd have to make sure the ai only imports the enemies + dioramas + peek scenes; not sure how you'd get the ai to do the game over sex scenes, since it would have to partially override the daggerfall game over screen. You might be able to get the ai to generate reasonable stats for the new monster girls, using the preexisting enemy types as a reference. Another idea, would be to remove game overs; so cumming applies debuffs based on which monster girl gets your cum, rather than depleting your health (unless it's an mgq succubus). If hdooms code is being added, you could have sex scenes regen a tiny bit of health, while making enemies stop attacking you. The biggest hurdle would be the map... would you include the regular post nut calamity dungeon as something that naturally generates on the map, or leave it out entirely, simply integrating the enemies/items/peep holes/dioramas into the daggerfall overworld and dungeons?

Daggerfall Unity already exists. gzdoom might be good too. The dao of AI is avoid making AI do anything and especially don't ask it to make judgment calls. Just have it help glue stuff together and do things where there's no specifically wrong answer. There's already tons of good 2.5D engines you could quick slop together some assets for and add some routines for RPG mechanics.

You could give the player fewer resources than they need to avoid losing. This could work well in a game where losing from time to time is an intended part of the gameplay cycle.

I've been experimenting with ai; it's really good at downloading games off the web, install games onto your computer, and adding premade mods to games. I'll try it out some more, but i'd like anyone who's good at modding to try and post their own porn mods here, so i can download them.

>>
>>11590794
Have you tried porting over the code from other games/hgames, and then having the ai generate animations and artwork in place of the original content?
>>
>>11590844
For writing porn, GLM 5.0. The China AIs are much less censored. I later upgraded to 5.2. 5.3 is much smarter but it changes tone significantly. It doesn't match my existing content so im stuck at 5.2.

For gamedev, ChatGPT (latest version) Sol, which has a very surprising amount of tolerance for porn. It only bans generating new text/images of penetrative sex. Which means you can use it for:
- Building your entire game engine even though its full of porn concepts and words
- Bulk reviewing and editing preexisting porn text that would normally break its rules

I'm also planning images for my game, and asked it recently if it could generate CoC style sidebar images for combat. It said sure, even if they were naked, because standing nudes are considered tasteful enough to be allowed. I havent actually tested nudes because im working on coding this month. And I doubt itll be trained to make good art for stuff like futas, furries, and dicknipples. But at minimum it can probably mass automate images that can be a base for other AIs to paint over if needed. I tried it with a clothed woman and it worked, generated an accurate image automatically from her ingame texts.
>>
>>11590869
Nope, side projects are banned until I finish and ship the game
>>
The one thing I’d warn about is that ai can code like crazy, but it isnt smart enough to do creative writing yet. It can write but itll be filled with slop patterns that you’ll start to notice as time goes on. So expect that stuff to still take a long time to finetune and polish
>>
>>11590875
The code is just as sloped, you just don't notice that
>>
>>11590879
Only a bit. As long as you know how to code without ai, you can code review the whole project every few weeks to fix stuff. Takes about half a day
>>
I'd definitely be interested in hearing more about the process of using AI to code stuff for people who have done it successfully. Even making a simple game seems like too much time and effort to be worth it even with AI.

I started working on a simplish tf tg focused game in twine where you play as a perverted witch. The gameplay is going to be going to be about unlocking spells through random events, then experimenting with them on various townsfolk to get better so you can unlock better spells, though spells also have a chance of backfiring and transforming you as well.

At the same time you have to manage your suspicion so you don't get killed and/or raped by the inquisition. Right now I'm getting together a list of spells to implement so I can write scenes for them.

Any general ideas? So far the only scene I have in mind is one where you try to milfify a guard, only for it to rebound onto you which leads to you getting raped and possibly a bad ending where you get impregnated.
>>
>>11591096
>a bad ending where you get impregnated
fundamental misunderstanding of game design innit
>>
>>11591096
>The gameplay is going to be going to be about unlocking spells through random events, then experimenting with them on various townsfolk to get better so you can unlock better spells, though spells also have a chance of backfiring and transforming you as well.
But what's the actual gameplay? Some kind of adventure/puzzle game like Village of Nightmare?
>>
>>11591100
Where's my game about a witch getting impregnated by all manner of forest/mythical beasts, using their cum to augment existing pregnancy into a bigger and stronger progeny, so that when she gives birth to it she can have her destroy the village that wronged her.
>>
So I really like Karryn's Prison's gameplay driven corruption. Or, in other words, the way smut and gameplay organically interact and you end up hitting smut by naturally playing the game (unless you're minmaxing for a pure run of course).
However, at some point around level 3 the game becomes a chore in 2 ways:
1. side jobs are extremely repetitive and boring, but ideally you should do them for the income.
2. you see the same enemies over and over and over again especially if you're stuck on 1 particular fight, but also as they start to riot. And of course constant guards if you lose fights over and over.
Are the some mods (or even other games) that improve on these aspects while keeping the core loop?
>>
>>11591136
Sort of a resource management/adventure game. You travel from place to place, and perform actions to gather necessary resources. You might also be faced with checks that you need the right spell, item or skill to succeed at. You then return to a base where you can research and improve your spells/skills.

>>11591100
>>11591209

If you’re aware of that, and have played better Twine games that don’t fall into the pattern, that’s a strong asset here. Knowing what not to do. The engine isn't the issue there, it's just bad design. There are competently made games on twine that don't waste the players time with pointless tedium.
As for why they use it; it's 'easy', there's lots of learning resources, being able to host it online means more potential players (and thus potential crowdfunding money), a bunch of popular games were done on it, and they simply aren't aware there's alternatives.

I don't think you get that anon's question. The best wording depends on what the actual effect is.

Consider Magic the Gathering. There's a "Lifelink" ability defined as "Damage dealt by the creature also causes its controller to gain that much life." This means ANY damage, combat or otherwise. If you give this creature an ability to deal direct damage, that damage will also heal the creature's controller. You'd have to specify COMBAT damage if you wanted to limit lifegain to ONLY happen during combat, and it would specifically NOT be "Lifelink" as defined by the rules.

The rules also say a creature can only have one instance of "Lifelink" on it. But "heals on combat damage" would specifically NOT be lifelink, so you could have both on the creature at once and heal twice from combat damage. In fact, some older cards still say "Whenever this creature deals damage, its controller gains life" - and without explicitly being changed to be "lifelink" these trigger separately and therefore allow for double healing.

TL;DR: The best wording accurately reflects what the ability does, and therefore depends on knowing how it functions.

>>
>>11593094
It's so hard. I've tried so many times over the years and never been able to finish anything. How do you do it? Even having a CS degree and ostensibly knowing all the coding needed to do something like >>11589260 and being able to use AI to generate assets every time I actually try to do something it always just becomes one damn thing after another and I can never follow through with it.
>>
>>11593097
For me my average project is 9-12 months. Once I’ve committed, I accept the fact that in the later stages and during monthlong task grinds, I’m just going to have zero fun that day, and I have to do it anyway.

Also scope your projects accurately and don’t do anything too big. Owlboy for example, I think that took the dev ten years to make and it’s only six hours long. Don’t do that.
>>
>>11593099
If you've actually gotten something done, can I ask for any advice on how to force yourself through it? It's so easy to get distracted or give up.

Also, any advice on assets? I can do art or music worth a damn and although I'm using free assets as placeholders I'm hoping I can rely on AI for finished assets (or magically conjure up the money to pay someone to do them).
>>
I did drop a game once, because at the 6 month mark I was still not done making the debug zone to walk around in. The scope estimation was bad and it would have probably taken me at least 6 years to finish. It was a niche design that I liked but probably would have gotten mixed reviews on steam
>>
>>11593102
idk, finishing a game has never been an issue for me, but I’m also not the kind of dev who codes 16 hours in his free time every single weekend. I think weekend “passion project” grinding is unhealthy af and only make like one game every 3-5 years. Also my first games were one month, then three months, then 9-12 for the rest. That wasn’t planned but it probably helped a lot.
>>
>>11593105

A CS degree doesn't mean shit in gamedev, especially since you aren't coding for AAA / a corporation
you just have to not be a retard, and have a lot of discipline

I remember back when WoW was a thing, I'd get stuck at level 30 and never really progress, just fucking around instead. It's only once I learned about a teleporter only obtainable at high levels that can randomly TF you that I ground out to max level. It was the exact same as now: I was doing game projects without clear direction until one day someone showed up with something I really wanted and I decided to dedicate myself to obtaining it. That's when you discard your past life and become the guy that simply just works on it every day.

Hi again, /d/. I've been modding ideas into post nut calamity, and o've gotten amazing results. I had the ai make muffled erotic noises play at random from walls, then it added procedural animation to the game (so monsters change speed and intensity during sex), and also plays cum-noises at random during sex scenes. Overnight, i had the ai implement the conversation system from elder scrolls into the game (so you can talk to the monstergirls), before adding a limited/keyword-based llm chatbot into the game, that you can talk you at anytime. The ai made sure to use in-game ui only, so it fits into the gameplay without being distracting. [inb4 "fake", picrel as proof]

We’ve already seen real gaming companies do ai dialog at a larger scale and it works. One anon building a quick tech demo doesn’t define the limits of this stuff
>>
>>11593804
That doesn't quite capture the essence of what's wrong.
The thing is, this takes-photos-of-a-screen caliber utter waste of oxygen is exhilarated because he whipped up some worthless slop nobody would ever bother making without AI, as it is worthless bloated garbage. He can't even figure out where it belongs because so little care was given to the subject, so he just dumps his turd in the first random street he passes by.
But it's the coolest thing ever to him. For a completely useless loser, the ability to create this level of garbage is pure magic. He doesn't even realize it's dogshit. The problem that causes slop to be slop is that the people creating it haven't the fucking clue what they're doing. AI can do anything except remove the retardation from its user. It's just a tool, and it is a tool that has enabled a whole new category of creator, the lazy uneducated talentless sack of shit that couldn't make anything good to save their life. And we're going to drown in their shit.

Or he's just shitposting for the lulz. Can't tell the difference.

If you think AI in 2026 is capable of quality you're a genuine retard, sorry. Maybe it'll be better in 5 years or whatever (assuming the bubble doesn't pop before then), but AI text/art/video are all still horrendously bad and voice synth is only barely passable. Not a programmer so no opinion on code quality, if it can do that then great, but I am sick of seeing everything else get slopped in game after game now because it's simply not good. Especially AI writing is extremely obvious and completely intolerable to read more than a paragraph of.

I don't mind it much outside of some quirks. But I'm not a writer, so dunno about quality.

You can enjoy eating shit if you want but that doesn't mean other people are "denying reality".

> AI text/art/video are all still horrendously bad
was a reasonable opinion in 2022 when the state of the art was the will smith spaghetti gif. Nowadays haters have moved goalposts from “it’s bad” to “it’s ai, and therefore bad”. People are making entire tv episodes and chart topping music hits with it now
>>
>>11593890
I've read a lot more than a few pages. Still not much of a problem.

To explain to the confused slop enjoyers here, for those of us with fully developed neocortices it's simply impossible to ignore how much AI repeats itself, overuses the exact same sentence structures, constantly inserts nonsensical metaphors, and in general is utterly incapable of getting to the fucking point about anything. I'm sure you'll reply with how actually those are only problems with the old AIs and this or that model totally fixes everything but I'm sorry, it doesn't. You're just not very literate so you don't notice these patterns like we do.
>>
>>11593837
I have no problem with sloppagae. Goblin's Pet is good, but Aphrodite is a competent writer with basic programming skills. AI doesn't excuse you from knowing what you're doing any more than owning a circular saw and a drill makes you competent to do framing work.
>>
>>11593909
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I have to agree that AI has tons of quirks and it takes way more effort than it should to make it properly follow your instructions and generate something palatable. But on the other hand... have you read the shit made by *humans*? Like, where do you think AI got all those quirks to begin with?

Seriously, when the average porn game narration is -at best- filled with cringe-inducing purple prose, and -at worst- outright broken english dialogs written by ESL russians and latinoamericans who can barely spell... AI doesn't seem that bad by comparison.

Then again, most AI users seem incapable of tinkering with it enough to generate decent stuff, so I guess we don't really disagree on practical terms.
>>
>>11593961
Goblin's pet was a complete game before sloppa.
>>
>>11593973
Yeah but now it's a whole slop franchise now, and it's still decent. AI is just a power tool that enables greater depth and scope. Retards are asking the chatbot to make them a game when they should be asking it to teach them how to make a game.
>>
>>11593829 has it right. The problem with AI is the people using it.
>>
>>11593971
There are plenty of shit writers out there but very few if any are shit like AI is. That's why it's so easy to tell when something's been slopped.
>>
>>11593971

Take your money, you mean. DAZ3D was the pre-AI slopfarm. A third-worlder could churn out something first-worlders would pay for, and have enough to live on. Now they've gotten better at masking, thanks to AI, but they're all masking in the same way because they're using the same tool without knowing what the right output is.

Which is the real problem with "AI". We have explicitly designed it to give us wrong answers so that we reject them and the output can be refined into correct answers. But the only way to know if the AI has given you the correct answer is to already know what the correct answer is. AI broadens the pool of potential creators, but only the ones who already have experience creating will know when AI "hallucination" is correct, versus when it's fishing for the user to correct it. The rest will just rubber-stamp the answer, the same way people used to "ask Google" and take the first result as gospel.

The "intellect" part in "AI" makes people believe there's a "judgment making" part somewhere inside the machine, that filters the output. The reality is, YOU are that part. Whether you're a creator - or, when the creator passes the slop as-is, the user.
>>
That's great and all but i'm still not removing -ai_cg from my blacklist
>hehe what if i trick you and don't reveal it and hide it well enough
good for you, you put in EFFORT.
>>
>>11593997
Point is AI is not good enough to carry a project on its own. If, like Goblins Pet, you already made a good text adventure and are just using AI to add some mediocre visuals and voices to the game you already have then sure, it has validity. But there are way too many prospective "devs" who think shitty AI cgs or god forbid AI writing are a selling point in and of themselves and it's just obnoxious and has led to the hobby being flooded with cheap crap. And yes, it is an even worse kind of cheap crap then what we used to get a decade ago.

On that same vein, any mods that add some sort of "On Orgasm" trigger for effects? You can kinda see where I'm going with this

No. I'd tell you to mod it yourself since the actual effects are simple enough, but the game's spaghetti code would give you an aneurysm before you could make it to a handful of lines. Ask the LT discord if someone more clinically insane could whip something up for you.

This is part of the wider problem with discovery in porn games, and the internet in general. It was already getting bad, and AI has made it 10 times worse. Algorithms aren't good enough, ratings aren't good enough, and tags really aren't good enough. I think the best option would be to adopt the system Steam has, where people curate lists of games that they like, and then people can choose curators to follow if they respect the curators taste, and those curators are used by the recommendation algorithm rather than the unwashed masses. Of course that takes more to set up than a simple "Sort by view count" but I don't think anything less than that will be able to cut through all the slop.

Girl Spy was great, one of the funniest wegs I've ever played and absolutely mogs Female Agent. Especially impressive given that it was a parody he made on a lark.

The dev said he's going to finish it eventually but has been busy with IRL and making a SFW game. I'm inclined to believe him even if it ends up taking years, since he did the same with The Good Son after it seemingly was abandoned, thus making it one of the few actually complete feminization twine games in existence.

>>11594476
Everything but combat and dungeon exploration, think Wizardry/Etrian Odyssey but it becomes a text-based game when you exit dungeons.
I'm worried if it will feel too much like two different games with their own design philosophies stitched together.
>>
>>11594502
Don't just say everything, I'm asking you to narrow down the scope of your game. What is it that you actually want to include outside of the core dungeon crawling/combat loop? You need to do that first before you can determine whether text-based is a good fit for it.
>>
>>11594502
Etrian Odyssey sux though

>>
>>11581783
That’s a strange way of spelling Rin.
>>
>>11584268
I feel like that’s kind of the key to making a good lewd game or lewd story - it should have enough depth and interesting content and ideas or mechanics that it could stand on its own without the lewd content; unfortunately that frequently leads a lot of devs to realizing their real interest is in writing fiction, not developing a lewd game.
>>
>>11594689
From what I understand, Quake 1 isn't considered a dungeon crawler.
For an example of things that are, I'd name "Might and Magic" series (no, not "Heroes of") and the "Legend of Grimrock" games.

Hey, it's me again (ai anon). Sorry for causing a sperg-out in the thread, the other day. I've decided to use opencode only to help with rpg maker development. Adding in tilesets from itchio (i've always struggled with this as a kid), and adding in music/audio. I'll also be using it to help me code in certain mechanics, by feeding the rpgmaker forum into it (since it was always hard to find the code instructions i wanted from that site). When i was a younger, i learned some funny trivia about female sphinxes in mediterranean folklore; that their breast size is based on the status and sinfulness of the king (or queen), whose tomb they guarded. So back to rpgmaker; my first big idea for the intro to my game, is an ultima/smt/daggerfall inspired personality quiz. The sphinx quizzes you in morality-play riddles, and your answers determine your class (stats and skills by extension), dick size, reputation, and how big the sphinxes breasts become. I'm thinking of having 5 different paizuri scenes at the start of the game, corresponding to the respective dick and boobs size of the player, and their sphinx. Small cock - small boobs > regular paizuri, small cock - medium boobs > engulfing paizuri, small cock - big boobs > quick-shot paizuri; medium cock - small boobs > naizuri, medium cock - medium boobs > regular paizuri, medium cock - huge boobs > engulfing paizuri, huge cock - small boobs > edging paizuri, huge cock - medium boobs > naizuri, huge cock - huge boobs > regular paizuri.

>So, what do you guys think?
>>
[-]
>>
>>11594861
Sounds interesting but I would plan out the rest of your game more, if that’s all you have. You should have more than just the intro in mind before picking an engine and getting to work. (and you don’t need to apologize for ai antis getting triggered)
>>
>>11594861
I think you're a worthless idea guy who isn't capable of executing on the concept. Instead you just want to jerk off to the idea of making a game rather than making a game, otherwise you'd be working on it instead of posting here.
Come back when you have something playable.
>>
>>11594861
>The sphinx quizzes you in morality-play riddles, and your answers determine your class (stats and skills by extension), dick size, reputation, and how big the sphinxes breasts become.
If we're talking about a 15min minigame where the quiz IS the main mechanic and you just keep replaying it to unlock different scenes, then this could be pretty neat and a nice breath of fresh air (I'd go with renpy over rpgm, though). But if you're making a full blown rpg and this is replacing the character creation, please STOP. For the love of all gods, just let me create my character normally.

On a tangential note, remember: You *can* make a short game. You *can* focus it on a single cool little mechanic. In fact, being your first game, you *should* aim for something small. You do *NOT* need to make yet another padding-filled pseudo-sandbox rpg with dozens of unrelated-yet-forcefully-interdependent mechanics that take a hundred hours to complete. /rant

Then again, if I'm being sincere the only thing that truly matters is whether you game matches my fetishes. If it does, I'll give it a try. If not, I won't even bother checking it.
