I get Matt wanted to have a Thai self-insert as the protagonist but can we all agree that Sasha definitely deserved to be the main character? Or at the very least she deserved more spotlight than Sprig or the townie cast.

She's arguably a more entertaining character, but I think you'd need to completely rewrite the show for her to work as the MC. As it is, Amphibia is Anne's story first and foremost.

You could even have Anne see them or just contrast it to Anne being happy with her family and Seeing Sasha’s and Marcy’s ether struggling or indifferent. Heck you could make it turbo sad and even have one of the parents accept that their child died.
