Happy Halloween! What is your favorite SCP?
>>156126955You do not recognize the Buckleys in the propane
>>1561269555000 still rocks
Iris. Now and forever best girl.
SCP-1548 has been my favourite for a long while now. Interesting core concept of the Sun being a huge magical protector, creative interlinking of multiple other skips and ideas, and a chilling end of the world scenario where the Foundation, in their typical fashion, contributes by fucking shit up and making a hole in the magical barrier protecting the rest of solar system from eldritch horrors.
>>1561269551128
>>156126955It's really simple but a toss up between SCP-085 and SCP-283
>>156127142I miss the old one
>>156126955>What is your favorite SCP?SCP -1
I've always been a fan of SCP-119. The timcrowave is just a fun little weird thing. The sheer variety of anomalies has always been the main appeal of SCP for me.
>>156126955The strongest SCP of course!
SCP-701The Hanged King is just a King in Yellow ripoff but they ripped off the best horror literature ever made so it was only natural it’s the best SCP, I guess.
>>156127391>SCP-6959Okay, that was actually pretty good. Articles like these often make me question the point of -Js, because you can just do a comedic article on the mainlist anyway. As an aside, this one kinda reminds of the Winslow from Buck Godot. Very similar concept, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some inspiration there.
>>1561269551204-RU is kino (both literally and figuratively) wonder if it's been translated to English
>>156126955610
SCP-3002 is still one of the greats. Poor Iris.
>>156126955049He's just a lil' guy.
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3101
I mostly don't bother with SCP for obvious reasons but 1281 is really good
>>156127471I think the difference is that while 6959 has a comedic element, it's still presented seriously in content and tone as an entry. It's the difference between a slapstick routine and someone getting injured in a funny way in real life.
>>1561269552999No contest.
How can you make a GOOD SCP cartoon series for kids?
>>156129904Same way you'd make a good SCP series for adults. Episodic skip of the week. Sure, have a recurring cast, but each episode spotlights a different anomaly. It's insane that almost no series so far uses this format.
>>156126955Is it true that troons ruined it?
>>156127093Iris is peak cringe.Self insert RP bullshit.
I love pretty much all the Alpha-9 skips.
>>156129973Autismos will say that about everything, but yes, sort of. The general vibe of the site gradually devolved into YA-tier slop and gave up on its own clinical format. The two final straws for me were an "SCP" that was essentially a boring drama lionizing some bitch's fursona (not even allegorically, that was literally the plot) and an old article I actually liked getting badly reworked without permission. The only redeeming quality left is that some of the articles have cool custom web designs, which is presumably because the only thing troons are actually good at is computer shit.
>>156129973It's public domain. Anyone can do anything with it.
>>156129904Short answer is you don't, half of the appeal is that the shit happening in the series is that it's so horrific that they effectively sanitize it. It's constant death or shit worse than death. The long answer is you do something like MTF Omega-7 where the stories are centered around SCPs that can at least withstand the more horrible shit that happens and still return to the status quo a la X-Men. Which got nixed from the site specifically because it leaned to hard into being Saturday morning cartoon nonsense
>>156129973Yep
>>156129980Oh no! People like reading SCP! The horror! You're absolutely hilarious dude. If it's any who's weird it's you with your overreaction.
>>15613038410 years ago i'd agree with you but. man. just read some of the newer shit
I still like the drink machine
>>156130384>people
>>156130397>just read some of the newer shitFollow your own advice. We all know you're a content farm kiddie who parrots complaints.
>>156130438this isn't /v/ you can't automatically win every argument by bringing up the fact that youtubers exist
SCP-3930 is probably my favorite. I like how it's depiction of nothing is basically like a fever dream that slowly fades into nothing
>>156130460Except I can tell that you're a content farm kiddie because you are just spewing the same tired bullshit. Did you just come into this thread to be an antagonistic cunt, or would you like to tell me what your favorite SCP is?
>>156130433>Dehumanizing others over a piece of fictionYou seem like a very pleasant and mentally stable person to be around with.
>>156130508Sir this is an anonymous website.I'm not sure what you seek to accomplish by trying to shame someone who barely even humanizes themselves
>>156129980You're not even wrong but this shit isn't even on /co/'s general level of autism.
>>156126955>Comics and Cartoons board
>>156130350The actual answer is to present the series as depictions of the actual reports, so anything horrific is redacted and everything is impllied.

>>156130613>>156130628There are multiple SCP comics and cartoons. Confinement, Tales from the Foundation, Gallionic, Clean Up Crew, etc, There's also comics, such as Contained, and the SCP-5000 adaptation.
>>156130617The problem is that even as implications, the redacted stuff is horrible.

>>1561269556174It's a rock that once you see it, you can never stop seeing it, even when you shut your eyes or turn away from it.It's a really simple concept but the article does some cool stuff with it.For some reason I find it really unnerving and it's the only scp out of thousands I've read that pops into my thoughts unprompted and gives me a chill.
Meri!
>>156132169I miss the original
>>156132549Eh. The original was edge for the sake of edge with no real substance. The concept was redone much better. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4166Incidentally, Meri and Doe are friends. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/incident-4166-b
>>156126955SCP is not /co/ if you don't talk about the trans YouTube episodes
>>156130628Ah bloo bloo
>>156131205Sounds just like 1471
>>156126955SCP-3922, from a fun standpoint, even if some of the entries could be better written. 5595, 261 and 076-2 from a sexo standpoint
>>156130083>Self insert RP bullshit.Have some respect nigger, half the series 1000 classics were built on RP.
>>156129973>>156130239It wasn't troons, it was kids.Literally 13 years oldsWay more than the site could ever hope to assimilatet. was there to see it happen
>>156126955Bar of Soap
>>156130083Wrong. Iris is not a self insert. Only the famous doctors from series 1 were self inserts.
>>156133624may have been a character stand in or dm stand in, i'm almost 100% certain she was an RP original
I don't fully understand SCP 1471, outside of being a furry female.I just don't get why an entity that looks like this is tied to apps on a phone? Or with photography. It all feels disconnected.
>>156133641She's really not, and I have no idea where you're getting this from. Her creator was a guy who left pretty early on, and then she was re-written post Mass Edit. Everything about her character has been community driven.
>>156133845>and I have no idea where you're getting this from. The fact RP was responsible for a large number of old skips, the mass edit happening 18 years ago, and my memory turning to mush.
>>156134148Any connection to RP boards that any Series 1 skips had have well and truly eroded. I've been an SCP fan since the mainlist was yellow, and I don't even remember anything about RP forums.
>>156133666Anomalous bullshitery
>>156133666>furry femaleIt's genderless. >I just don't get why an entity that looks like this is tied to apps on a phone? It's an anomaly. It's just a weird thing that doesn't make any sense.
>>156134981Wasn't there another entry, now purged, that was also randomly tied to social media that was someone's blatant kidnapping and amputee fetishim?
>>156133845Mostly because she was written in to be a member of Omega 7 pretty early on. And the discussion board for her is a lot of shipping
>>156135323The people who still complain about Omega-7 don't even know that Alpha-9 exists. I still don't get why some folks had such a huge problem with the idea of an anomaly based Mobile Task Force. Especially since that attitude is dead as hell nowadays. There's like at least a dozen of those now. I will say though, Omega-7 being shuttered and leading to Alpha-9 did a lot for Iris' character. The so-called 'X-Men syndrome' thing was stupid, but it did lead to Resurrection.

One of my favorite entries that got purged (I think) was the fountain of love. Effectively a spring that when you sipped from it, it caused you to become progressively infatuated with the first person you saw. The discovery file was the part that I liked the most. Concept being that a nearby town deforested the region around it, causing it to leak into the water supply.Basically it turned into a lot of obsessivy murder over fits of jealousy. It was a cool concept, but "Entire town goes yandere and rapes itself to death" was a bit too on the nose for 2009 /x/
>>156131101>>156133285If you're not here for comics and cartoons you're on the wrong boardFuck off

>>156126955The one I just made up>Item#: SCP-1337O>Object class: Keter>Description: A memetic digital virus originally identified as program "donutsteel.exe" in a computer at Site-14 that has embedded itself into the SCP database. SCP-1337O is an anomalous program that creates fake entries in the SCP database that read like bad fanfiction. Nearly every humanoid SCP described in the database is a creation of SCP-1337O. SCP-1337O also keeps rewriting it's original index entry as some fucking foid.>Logs: "Wow this entry is shit."
>>156135408The problem with Omega-7 is Abel.He was clearly a FS/N Gilgamesh knockoff written to be as edgy as possible that made it past the mods because no one outside of /a/ knew who he was, so the whole thing was conceptually faulty from the start

SCP-2845I greatly prefer the original consultant message at the end of the containment procedures over the new one. Its blunt and condescending tone really sent the message of the urgency in making sure the containment procedures remain as they are.
>>156139474How do you honestly feel about that one artist (Wsache2020) who made very sexualized, lewd fan art of that anomaly deer? Does it really offend you that he drew this very serious, big deal deer character and turned it into something highly sexualized?
