Time for my annual spooktacular story time
>>156121370If its annual just link the archived thread for it and save your time. The stupid newest captcha on 4chan sucks, and less people visit 4chan overall now so less and less people are here. Storytimes are like reading to yourself, no one is with you anymore, the room is empty. Save your time and don't bother.
>>156121394No one can stop the monster. Save your time and don't bother.
>>156121394>t. storytimed something nobody cared about and is now saltyYou do it for the love of the game not for replies and (You)s, this isn't social media. I storytime semi-regularly and sometimes you get a good discussion, sometimes you get nothing. That's just the luck of the draw and it ain't gonna stop me.
>>156121394>t. Grover
>You do it for the love of the game not for replies and (You)s, this isn't social media. I storytime semi-regularly and sometimes you get a good discussion, sometimes you get nothing. That's just the luck of the draw and it ain't gonna stop the Monster.FTFY

>>156121394Go back to your trash can Oscar!
>>156121716This ain’t Minecraft, Grover.
>>156121716Build the wall, Grover. Keep those monsters out of Sesame Street.
What would be funny is if one time the thread ends with a picture of a properly scary monster.
>>156121726Not even /pol/posting can stop the monster>>156121734I did that once
>>156121740>Not even the wall can stop OP from turning the pageWe are fucked, boys.

>>156121448>You do it for the love of the game>sit through a never ending cool down timer>that is if you can post at all with all the rolling temp range bans 4chan has been giving out in 2026 that force you to verify an e-mailSorry but I don't see the appeal on this dying husk of a site where even the staff didn't even care to update things after moot left so shit wouldn't get hacked. Maybe it was nice and worth it at one time, not anymore.
>>156121910Fuck off
>>156121905Fine I won't do it
>>156121994really?

>>156122023NOT!
>>156122558Oh… oh it’s just Grover, thank god. At least there’s no sequel, right?
>>156121370this book was my favorite as a kid and terrified me, not because of the impending monster but because the illustrations were unsettling to me. Then again at that age I was terrified of the Mcneil Lehrer News Hour theme song. But grovers expressions are definitely out there.
>>156122577the sequel was lame. But I didnt find it until I was an adult
>>156122462I'm pretty sure the original book did have a mirror (or at least a piece of reflective foil) and Grover said something about how you're "a very handsome monster".
>>156122577WRONG!
>>156122696ANOTHER ONE
I find it sad that both books are illustrated by the same person
>>156122696Bumping to keep this thread up. My dad used to read this book to me all the time as a kid. I can still hear his Grover impression clear as day.
>>156122983
>>156123035

>>156123348YOU LOCKED HIM BEHIND THAT METAL DOOR?! OSCAR, YOU monster!
>>156123589In the immortal words of Hubert J. Farnsworth "Wrong again, idiot"
Some monsters just want to watch the world burn.
>>156123302I choose to drink the lake water
>>156123670>Do it.

>>156123302I can hear the jingle...
>>156124786wait where's the monster?
>>156123302>grover freezes big bird in a block of ice
>>156122558It should’ve been a mirror
>>156121370>>156122696The first book feels way more animated and loose compared to the second book.
>>156122558Sexy beast.
>>156121394>The stupid newest captcha on 4chan sucksare you a brainlet?
>>156122696not the red little shit this smug asshole always steals the show
>>156124662Feels like a good 4chan reference
>>156123035>spec ops: the line.
>>156124662>(you)
Are all American children's books so low on visual stimulation? My books as a kid were ridiculously colorful. I remember just staring at the pages that contained treasure vaults, balls/harems or feasts. And the scary ones were scary as fuck, all sorts of monster designs and gore.
>>156121394fpwp
>>156126522I haven't thought about that game in years
>>156126956yeah most kids books here have harems and gore, but I'm not showing you them until you're older
>>156129453>what is Aladdin>what is Tom & Jerry
