What's so bad about black and white comics? I notice a lot of comics that were formerly in black white got colorized, or more recent installments were getting colorized. Age of Bronze, Usagi Yojimbo, From Hell, etc. Does color actually increase sales?

No, but having two versions of the same thing lets publishers sell it twice to collectors, it's the same reason popular things with very purposed coloring like Watchmen got a black and white version.

I remember Jeff smith having to make BONE colored in the scholastic version

Same reason why Telltale Walking Dead went with color after experimenting with black and white
It looked unfinished
That and LCS' became cautious about black and white titles on principal due to a glut of shitty ones following TMNT

>It looked unfinished
That's not it.

What about the new installments getting colorized? That's only one version.
