>>156110291Too late, momentum means you're now replaced by whoever's next convinced by the sales you helped build.
>>156110327I never bought a single book, I read storytimes on /co/
>>156110346Sensible, unfortunately they then get to play the second card that since you were never a customer anyway your opinion doesn't count.
>>156110291It’s weird how Rolling Stone licks the asshole of anything they think is popular and left-wing. Not saying it isn’t left-wing, I’m more describing their servile behavior toward such things.

>>156110291Okay but I'm reading Aquaman instead.
I seen this article too. What do they define as “progressive”. Aren’t most super hero comics are “progressive”? Teaching to be kind to everyone, help your friends, save the day and defeat bad guys. Also stealth /pol/slop thread
>>156110291so do people just pride themselves on being regressive?
>>156110355Any industry that stays alive behind countless consolidations doesn't deserve to use the word "customers" to describe its demographics. The word "consumers" exists after all.
>>156110381It's also funny how backhanded that headline is yet also so true. I mean like comix have been going this whole time with progressive series or Image has had perfect books for them to fellate, but nah, Absolute is what they deem noteworthy, kek. The almighty dollar reigns and their hypocritical ideals are illusory/unimportant to them.
>>156111362It's such a typical culture war engagement bait headline that implies the presence of "political" or "progressive" themes is the main factor determining success. And of course people will lean into that and rev up the outrage farms for another cycle. To the writer's credit the article at least notes some other factors like this being an easy entry point for readers but it's definitely slanted towards feeding into the faulty premise of the bait headline.
