Nothing /co/ related makes me as sad as SpongeBob's fall in quality, it's both the fastest and the most drastic decline in /co/ history
I don't think SpongeBob has gotten as bad as others seem to think but I'm also not denying its fallen in quality I think its biggest problem is bringing back one of characters and locations for member berry's
left looks like fanart

>>156109800Hot Take: people don't hate AI, AI is just a tool (the vast majority don't actually give a shit about art theft, that's just moral grandstanding), they hate the loss of sovl. Hacked media that cuts corners and plays safe also tends to cut soul, which dilutes a medium's "flavor," but at the same time makes it available to a wilder palette of tastes.AI gives more hacks and people uninterested in flavor/soul the ability to create media, and thus we are more saturated in soulless slop. The true creatives will be able to use AI to give more soul to their stories and it's use will be less noticable, and therefore will be considered a valid tool, but one the artists will have to be stealthy about.

>>156109800When other shows decline in quality, they turn into zombies. They die, but they keep getting puppeteered by a faceless force.SpongeBob was a zombie for a while, but then its corpse was consumed and mangled by an eldritch skinwalker. It doesn’t exist anymore. What replaced it is a monster unworthy of its name.

>>156109800>it's both the fastest and the most drastic decline in /co/ historyIf you want my honest opinion, FOP had a MUCH faster decline than SpongeBob. SpongeBob's 4th Season still had elements of its first 3 seasons, while FOP's 4th Season started leaning in on flanderizing Vicky.
>>156109833It's called passion. A lot of fans have it. Creators have it. HR doesn't.

>>156109832This is my problem with recent episodes. They confuse the cult status of certain gags and characters with "WE WANT THEM BACK". They're popular because of their one-bit status, bringing them back or 'expanding' on them misses the point completely.
