I remember when Book 2 of Korra initially aired and they first introduced Varrick I thought what they had planned for him was to present him as a sort of moriarty figure who acts "approachable" to the common man but wasn't as discriminatory as Amon was who only appealed to non benders vs Varrick who was a venture capitalist to his core appealed to everyone because all money was good money. I thought they were gonna have him deceive Asami out of her company and out of her fortune and he almost did but then his personality takes a complete 180 because everyone found him "funny" so from book 3 onward they turned him into Quirk Chingus Tony Stark.I bring this up because I never once considered the idea that Varrick could become either an expendable form of evil who the writers decide he has to be thrown under the bus to make Asami seem like the virgin Mary of people who did absolutely nothing wrong or Varrick assumes control of Asami's company entirely thru nepotism or having the largest stock of the company and is then written to do completely asinine things that results in the apocalypse and possibly Asami's deadSee I wanted Varrick and Asami to hate each other since Book 2 but I had a more elaborate step by step plan in mind for Varrick but if Varrick does take Asami's company is he doing it because he's evil, stupid or both? This might also alienate people who do like Varrick because he was becoming the most popular character in Korra's group.
i am literally only watching this shit because i love brown lolis. imagine iris from pokemon, but there's two of them. i suppose the korra mystery is interesting but they'll chalk it up to some cringe misunderstanding
