The older I get the more I agree with execs saying too many different universes is confusing. But it's not so much confusion as it is apathy. These movies are disposable entertainment. I don't want to have to keep track of multiple universes of movies going on at once. I don't want to watch a Batman movie, go to another Batman related movie, and realize it's got nothing to do with the last one. I don't want to have to research even a minute for a Batman movie online, I want to be able to understand simply by randomly going to the theaters with friends because we want something to do for a few hours.
