Addison's reality begins to blur in the pursuit of vengeance and justice is used as justification to become a monster.Anathema means someone you hate/want to avoid. This doesn't seem very good. Whether it is explained later on in the comic or not, starting the plot with a massive contrivance doesn't seem like a great idea. You still have to write it in a way that shows you put thought into it. The way it is, it seems like everyone gets away with murder and corruption all the time, because of this one character's powers over fate (although that wouldn't explain the same stuff happening in the 50s flashback), except for when they don't get away with murder, also because of this one character's powers. Instead of giving actual in-universe realistic reasons for these events happening the way they do and then later on putting those explanations into new context, the author just doesn't even bother to give any explanations for anything. Tomboy just kills 20 people in broad daylight off screen. Pretty silly.
