Cartoons aren't made for kids anymore
>>156096404burbank wants higher wages, total job security, and also complete immunity from ratings or profitability
>>156096438Then maybe it's time to stop making stuff there
>>156096404>Cartoons aren't made for kids anymore Who're they made for, then?
>>156096404That's depressing
>>156097948trannies/gays/warpedminded.i wish i was joking. its either toddler shit or some cartoon about 11 year old lesbians (one is a MTF)
>>156096404welcome to the 90s, you're gonna enjoy it for.. a couple years.
They used to make up characters like this and name them shit like "Squiddly Diddly". What happened to cartoons?
>>156096404They rarely are. Most cartoons are unsure who their target audience will be. That’s why pilot episodes are so mild and inoffensive. And when they find out which demographic it was most popular with, they will cater to those specifically
A lot of the cartoons made for kids are stupid toy ads. Not saying the other cartoons are automatically good
>>156096404Kids rather scroll through tiktoks and YT shorts
>>156097948Thirty year olds basically
>>156100170Have you considered that it's because no one is making cartoons for kids anymore?
>>156100227It's basically impossible for real animation to compete with youtube sludge farms and the industry realised that pretty early on, theyre mass produced and attention grabbing in ways more professional animation cant quite stand up for. No one makes toys for kids anymore either, toy stores keep going under and companies like Lego only keep themselves up by appealing to adults or teens. Declining birth rates and kids being addicted to phones by their lazy millenial or gen X parents who cant be bothered to give them anything decent just means that at most ur getting toddler media and games that are explicitly targeted at a younger audienceAlso kids these days like anime too
>>156096404because no kid WATCHES THEMthey're all too busy playing roblox and fortnite
>>156101186>Also kids these days like anime tooMe when I defeat my entire point with one line at the end of my argument
>>156100220No thank you
>>156101186At least you pointed out the declining birth rates. Child-"free" lifestyles have been a bigger disaster than both World Wars.
>>156101186"We lost because competition exists" is admitting you made the worst thing possible
>>156096404They are, but only for the young ones. It's mostly the older kids/young teens demographic that doesn't get as much new stuff as it used to.
>>156102961I don't get it, we were told that all thirteen year olds only cared about millennial social issues
>>156101690>They should have been fetching pokeymon creatures!
>>156101186>industry output vs characters that children recognizeI wonder if there's a pattern here
>>156105085Left is made for college students that want to pretend they're still little kidsRight is made for kids that want to pretend they're college studentsKIDS DO NOT LIKE BEING CONDESCENDED TO
