Do you think Cyclops could carry his own solo, long-running series?
>>156094731If the story is interesting and the characters are properly developed.
There are such a thing as bad ideas but any idea can be salvaged or even made meh or even great by strong execution.A marvel run about solo cyclops will probably not be one of these good executions.
>>156094731Short answer: no
Cyclops should get a storyline about rediscovering his humanity and former ideals
>>156094731Yes.Hard mode: no X-Men.
>>156094731No, he's a natural leader, he's at his best leading.
>>156094731>six issues of moaning and moping about JEEEAAAAN sounds boring as fuck bro
>>156094731>Do you think Cyclops could carry his own solo, long-running series? sure why not
>>156094731No.
>>156094731No, cause he's a lame-o no fun retard
>>156094731Not with current writers and his modern personality
>Cyclops 1 47,468>Cyclops 2 31,132>Cyclops 3 25,925>Cyclops 4 23,305>Cyclops 5 21,874>Cyclops 6 20,115>Cyclops 7 18,371>Cyclops 8 17,146>Cyclops 9 16,287>Cyclops 10 15,091>Cyclops 11 14,481>Cyclops 12 26,516 (Black Vortex tie in)No.
>>156094731Yes and no. They could easily explore who he is outside of the X-Men, set him up with a supporting cast and the like. However, unlike Logan or Remy who can easily operate within and outside of a team, even as leaders themselves, Scott was literally created for leadership in and out of universe. It's hard to imagine a solo series that wouldn't eventually devolve into a team book of sorts, much like Cable's solos tend to do.
>>156094731As with any team book character who has no life of their own outside of being a member of that team, and isn't so hugely popular that a book would sell even if it sucked, the answer is no.
>>156094759thisAny character COULD carry a solo series If its well written and has nice artdoesn't mean thats going to happen
>>156094731I don’t think so; you’re on the wrong track if any laser weapon can do the same thing as the main character.
>>156099758Good thing that's not his power or what it does then.
>>156099806It's the same. Don't try to pretend it isn't.
Cyclops doesn’t really have solo stories to tell, and his entire character dynamic works only as a team leader. An occasional story where he largely has to act on his own is naturally doable but he doesn’t have anything that would make him work on an ongoing basis without the book turning into a mutant team-up book due to how connected he is to the x-men.

>>156099961Wolverine is indistinguishable from a guy with some knives.>>156100025Solo books have different structures from team books, making that a completely irrelevant argument.
>>156100025Anyone who says this has no imagination and will never be a writer.Anyone has a solo story to tell.

I would a solo Rightclops series where he tells everyone to fuck off and go be a maverick, but the current version of Cyclops? No.Rightclops died anyway.
>>156107823>RightclopsNo such thing.
>>156098825Standard attrition. It was TykeClops in space. The real Cyclops was still the main character in Uncanny.
