Can we just admit that the Human Zoo Arc was some of the best material the show ever put out? Like, goddamn.
>>156091187That scene where Steven was crying helplessly for his dad in the out of control ruby ship was great.
>>156091218Right? Adventures in Light Distortion made me with the show had more science shenanigans.
>>156091187>arcit was like 2 episodesbut yeah, it was pretty goodalthough it was too easy with the Amethysts randomly deciding to help them
>>156091359>it was like 2 episodes "Steven's Dream" to "That Will Be All" is a 5-episode arc. An especially exciting one at that since it was our first foray into dealing with the Diamonds directly, plus EVERY one of the main Crystal Gems were involved, Ruby & Sapphire included. 'Out of This World' is some of Steven Universe's finest work for sure
>>156091187I was honestly expecting an plot point where all the Beach City townies end up at the zoo
>>156091983It really is an excellent arc that furthers the main story and gives us some solid character development for everyone. I'm especially fond of Sapphire having to face her fear of Blue Diamond. Oddly underrated scene. >>156092436I wish that had happened. I maintained that nobody would've complained about the townies if they were more involved in the gem plots.
>>156092986The townie episodes would have been better if they kept its original structure where there was some sort of monster of the week or some supernatural element.By season 4-5 they forgot this was a thing and we started to get boring episodes like Onion Gang or Rocknaldo or Dewey Wins instead of "the restaurant mascot gets possesed and becomes a horror movie monster" or "Steven creates a time paradox"
>>156093607Agreed. Dropping the monster of the week format was a mistake. Especially since they could've upgraded from corrupted gems to Homeworld soldiers.
Bump
>>156091187And the song has some cool lore built into it too

for me it's Jay-Ten
>>156097567not enough content of her sadly
>>156097584breedable AF
>>156097567>>156097584Greg fumbled
>>156097567
>>156091330>half the episode runtime is Steven crying in Callison's strained efforts godawful episode
>>156097584>>156098782I love Blushmallet
Jay Ten is one of the three attractive human characters with Priyanka and Vidalia. Looking back, kinda shocked that there were 3 and not 0
>>156100232btw by posting this you're unwittingly baiting conniefags into showing up to an otherwise good SU thread>>156098744he's an upstanding guy I didn't ever expect him to lay down cock for some random betty, even if she was attractive. Besides his wife became his son so he's traumatically tied up from any future relationships and will die alone and probably never talk to his parents again
I will say, the Zoomans are all really hot. Like, it feels like whoever was in charge of designing them was doing so with one hand.
>>156100411Tru dat The one with the Lucy Van Pelt cut always stood out to me
>>156091187I never actually finished this show, only learned of the endgame through cultural osmosis. So how'd they justify the Diamonds bubbling all those Gems?
>>156102051By having them make active efforts to rectify their mistakes and be better people. All the colonies freed, working on repairing shattered gems, etc.
>>156101382Huh. She does look like an adult Lucy. Wonder if that was on purpose.
>>156102099I think the crystal gems didn't do anything as an apology for starting an uprissing because their diamond was bored and wanted to larp as a rebel.
>>156091187Zaaaaaamn, Yellow Diamond looks like THAT?
>>156091330Powerscalers hate this episode and intentionally ignore it
My social media is crawling with Steven Universe content now. Fanart, comics, AUs, that one roblox game etc.And seeing the newer ones is just a reminder of how great they were when the show was airing. Like look at all these fantastic ideas that people had for Homeworld, or how the gem court system worked, and what a fusion between (insert two gems here) would look like. It was great looking at these because we assumed that the actual show would be even better. Reading and looking at them made the hiatuses, that awful bomb format and the mundane beach city episodes worth it.But then the series ends and literally all of it turned out bad. Homeworld was underdeveloped and they half assed everything regarding the gems. And now I can't help but think Lars of the Stars is going to repeat that. People think we're going to get some space opera thing with Lars, but if the last two shows were anything to go by, he's just going to be bumbling around dealing gem townies while they dangle "cooler things" in your face.
>>156104037Why the sudden uptick in SU fandom activity? There haven't been any significant Lars spin-off news, plus SU was one of the only Cartoon Network shows to not have any assets leak a few weeks back.
>>156091187I'd like to smooch Yellow Diamond
>>156105701Imo it’s a tie between White Diamond and Blue Diamond for who has the most kissable lips. Can’t explain it but Yellow’s don’t do it for me. I just think of the black lipstick that looks super sexy on White and how soft Blue’s look that in comparison, besides having a nice shape, Yellows just look average
Nope. Still doodoo ass. But go off, queen.
