Where 3K leaves one more surprise inside their base...Comics in this thread:>X-Men #40>Fantastic Four #18>Gambit Gone #2>Tomb of Apocalypse #3>Bishop #5>Punisher #9
Bump if you're reading.
For once, we’re actually having a DNX tie-in set between the issues of the event and not concurrently with them.
>3K’s X-Men are still in the baseI thought Pyre and Timebomb went and fetched them…? >>155890040 >>155890043
I get the point of this flashback, but I can’t help but feel like this is a really late response to the criticism that X-Men #25 got for having the Fenris twins get spared.
>Kwannon realizes that the rest of 3K is gone and so are their X-MenSee? I told you.
la creatura
If you couldn’t tell by now, the rest of the issue is going to be Kwannon fighting this thing.
Fell for that one, didn’t you?
Wait what
Oh right, it’s the psychic twin from before. The fact that I still ended up forgetting about her even after she appeared two issues ago says a lot about this character.
>Kwannon spares Robin CobbI wonder if Betsy ever told her the consequences of killing the kid Apocalypse in Uncanny X-Force...
letters
And now for Fantastic Four.
Last time in the FF’s tie-in, Reed decided that in order to extract AoR-Beast’s message and save Magneto, they would have to assemble the team for a more “radical” procedure. But a few moments later, they wake up in a foreign place with no memories of who and where they are. After relearning their powers and realizing that Sue had intentionally locked behind parts of their brain that allows them to access their memories because otherwise they turn into mindless aggressive beings, they realize that they are inside somebody's body – Magneto’s body!
This will also be the last time FF will appear in these threads for now as they have no other DNX tie-ins after this. Unless Brevoort decides to have another X-Men/FF crossover or something.
>Ben and Johnny think they’re related and brothersWell…
>Johnny thinks that he should lead the team because he’s as balanced as Mario in the Mario Kart gamesYou are many things Johnny, but you are not a Mario. I bet you can’t do the Mario.
Okay, I guess everyone is still fine with him leading.
>Johnny thinks he built the deviceHow do you know? Doesn’t Reed build all of the devices of this team?
I guess they’re still trying to figure out why they’re here and what they’re doing…
>>156085144Bumo
>The weird creatures inside the body KO’d SueShouldn’t she have seen them coming though?
Ugh, that’s got to hurt.
And we’ve landed back to the main story of DNX #3 >>155890076.
>>156085250other members of the team frequently participate in building various shit with Reed
>Magneto’s immune system has the same powers as him and that’s why the FF had to shield their brains and fight invisible creatures while inside his bodyOkay, that’s kind of a fun explanation to the weird quirks of this tie-in. Not sure if this will ever be brought up again, but it's there now.
As is with these types of tie-ins, the epilogue takes place after the event has ended. Thankfully however, it doesn’t actually spoil anything about the ending of DNX.
And now for Gambit Gone.
Previously, the X-Men-616 realized that Gambit-295 was impersonating their Gambit and Rogue-616 told him that while he could still be on the team, she was not going to leave her Gambit for him. His rejection leaves him to contact this reality’s version of the Thieves Guild’s heist engineer Oseyun, and accept the impossible heist of raiding the Lost City of Saul – a task that even Apocalypse-295 could never accomplish in his life – in order to prove to himself that he still got what it takes.Meanwhile, Gambit-616 began his quest for redemption by searching for the Morlocks of Earth-295…
>Gambit-616 arrived just in time to witness another Morlock MassacreTypical.
>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Yazdi_GemIs it me, or does Gambit-295’s arms look really off in the second panel?
Oh so that’s why it’s called the Lost City of Saul, it’s named after this guy:>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Garbha-Hsien_(Earth-616)>Gambit-295’s mission is to steal a time diamond for the Guild so that they can do time heistsI mean if they really wanted to do time heists, they would look into hiring Tempo or something…>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Diamonds
>Rogue challenges Gambit-295 to a Crucible fight to get a favor from herWell, that’s one way to do it.
Hey, some of the Morlocks-295 are still alive.
Oh, it’s the AoA version of these guys.>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Magistrates_(Earth-616)
>They saved the AoA Morlocksyippee
Surprised that there apparently wasn’t an AoA version of Cameron Hodge before.
And now for Tomb of Apocalypse.
Last issue, Jubilee met Rictor and Shatterstar who revealed that they have been trapped inside Apocalypse’s tomb after Rictor wanted to try to communicate with him regarding the decision of not making him his heir. Together they ventured further into the tomb to solve its puzzles and defeat the Hydra mercs trapped inside, and Jubilee finally met up with Logan after they got separated. Continuing their journey, they find a giant sarcophagus that Apocalypse warns Jubilee must not be opened. Realizing that Apocalypse had manipulated the layout of the tomb so that they could get directly to the Hydra mercs, Jubilee tells him to fuck off, while Rictor realizing that Apocalypse had in reality communicated with her the whole time and ignored him once again, demanded an explanation for his actions. But in doing so he accidentally used his powers and opened the sarcophagus, containing a giant robot version of Apocalypse…
>The robot Apocalypse was created to kill the original if he went into the tomb for the Celestial weaponsAnd here I thought it was going to be like a prototype to the robot that he was always inside in Cable’s future.
>”You are unworthy to carry on my counterpart's mission.”Oof
Alright, get fucked robot.
This is meant to be the treasure room of the tomb? It's emptier than I expected.
>The vat is used to turn mutants into Apocalyse’s HorsemenThat’s bad to have around. Let’s wreck it!
Suddenly, Apocalypse>The device in the room can be used to turn off any gene possibleWhat the hell even is it, a gene bomb?
>”If it really can be keyed to any gene, why didn’t you choose to wipe out humans back in the day?”That’s actually a very valid point.
>”My horsemen. [...] Ensure that [Jubilee] activates the device.”Oh shit, he decided to summon an assortment of Horsemen! You guys already know who Death is, but as for the others:>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Autumn_Rolfson_(Earth-616)>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Decimus_Furius_(Earth-616)>https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Phantom_Bats_of_the_Twelve_Minds_(Earth-616)
>Decimus used his power to bait Jubilee into activating itwoops
>Phantom Bats immediately dies after trying to kill LoganBooo
>Jubilee is put into the vat for Marvel Rivals synergyNyooooo
And now for Bishop.
It's the end of this miniseries. Previously, Bishop moved into a unit in Sheepshead Bay, the same place where he had spent his childhood in his future. Being reminded that tomorrow would be the anniversary of his sister Shard’s death, he decided to have a drink with Storm and vent about how he feels indirectly responsible for causing her death in the first place. But when he was walking back to continue working on his unit, he ended up meeting Shard again, who had traveled back in time prior to her death. Shard reveals to Lucas that she’s traveled back in time to stop a group of criminals known as the Final Brotherhood who have decided to target and kill Lucas due to them believing that him having traveled back in time is the true reason why Earth-1191 exists in the first place. Lucas attempts to try to change her fate, but Shard reacts negatively to that as well as believes that Lucas had become too soft spending time in the present. But after defeating the Final Brotherhood and sending them to the jail in Earth-1191, Shard gives Lucas a spiked ration bar and reveals her true mission – Bringing Lucas home!
This sure doesn't look like Earth-616...
Aw man, it’s the younger Lucas.
That was easy.
Okay younger Lucas, you didn’t have to explain everything that detailed for the reader.
>”Y-you’re a disgrace.”Oh shut up.
>Shard is not going to turn him in and instead going to let him return to the presentWell, he’s going to appear in Maximum X-Men soon, so...
>Shard is not coming with himRight, because you’re about to die soon.
>Bishop still tells Shard how to avoid getting killedUh…so does Shard live now or what?
We’re home!
And now for Punisher.
It’s time for the finale of Big Guns! Previously, Wade was back to living with Blind Al after a merc job ended up causing his daughter Ellie to get apparently killed by getting sucked into a black hole. But after the discovery that Blind Al had mysteriously gained precognitive visions, they together went and restarted Wade’s merc business by exploiting the people that were about to face various bad fates for lots of money. Unfortunately, Wade’s healing factor has mysteriously mutated and every time he lost a body part, that body part would regenerate into a deformed version of himself known as a “Badpool”. The Badpools’ continued rampages ended up getting the attention of Frank Castle, who blamed Wade for their actions and decided to hunt him down. During Wade’s merc job to steal a gun that could shoot through time from a decommissioned SHIELD facility, Frank followed him in and fought him, but Wade was able to trap him inside the facility. When Wade returned with the gun to his client Black Hole, Black Hole revealed that he had hired Wade for this job due to him succeeding in the merc job that lead to Ellie’s apparent death, and summoned a bunch of Badpools loyal to him to steal the Time Gun from them and then suck them all up in the black hole inside his chest. But Frank has now broken out of the facility with the help of another item inside the facility – his War Machine armor! What does Black Hole want with the Time Gun? How does Bullseye fit into his scheme? And will either Frank or Wade be able to stop him?
And just like FF, Punisher will be out of this thread for now after this issue.
>>156085481I get that they were going to make Apocalypse evil again but this feels rushed and not built up at all
Fuck you Badpools, get Franked.
Meanwhile, Wade and Blind Al are still stuck in the waiting room inside Black Hole’s…um, black hole.
Hey that’s not very nice, the lady was just doing her job.
gigabadpool
>Black Hole wanted the Time Gun to prevent the Avengers from existingWhat? That’s the reason you wanted it the whole time?
Oh right, Bullseye is also in this crossover, and he's in a bath with his mask on.Good to know that the Bub Lite beer in Hellverine was actually Percy’s joke >>146809145
Hey Bullseye, you’re not supposed to use that!
>Black Hole forced everything in him out after Wade opened the black hole briefcaseDoes that mean that Ellie is also out of there…?
>"You all have things you want to change about the past. Let's change the world together."Would anyone outside of Bullseye even consider taking his deal?
>Bullseye used the Time Gun in the previous pages to kill Black Hole nowThat’s one way to take him out.
>Everyone left and let SHIELD come back for the Time GunSo I guess both titles ended up getting something from this crossover: Wade gained a new HQ with a bunch of tools and vehicles inside and Frank got back the Frank Machine armor. But man, did this finale really suffer from being only 20 pages. They really should have just used up an annual for this finale and get 5 pages more at least.
Next week: DNX #4, Uncanny X-Men #38, Wolverine #29.And that's it! If you liked these, support your LCS or whatever.
