The problem is that "tenders" can mean anything these days.
It used to be short for "chicken tenderloins" which is a specific cut of meat on the chicken.
But now it seems any breaded strip of chicken can be called a "tender". Even if it's just a long chicken nugget.

REAL chicken tenders are comprised of the strips of white meat, which are located on either side of the breastbone.
They are not "cheap" as they represent a "premium" cut per carcass.

It's almost a guarantee that you are referring to a "reconstituted" chicken finger, which is glorified chicken nugget.

I never used one of those small basket ones, I respect that that's probably not a good experience. I got a salamander door style Emeril air fryer from my father in law and it's served me well sitting on top of my microwave to be a second mini convection oven.
