I ordered something called a chirashi and really loved it. There were 8 proteins in it, all seafood. Can someone help me identify what the 8 seafood are? Obviously 1 is shrimp and 2 is crab stick but what are the six others? It was great btw I ate it all
>>222680761. Shrimp2. Krab3. Tuna (red)4. Salmon (orange)5. Eel (brown)6. ?7. ?8. ?Hope that helps some anon
I see fresh salmon on the bottom right, tuna at the top, eel on the bottom left, tobiko on the top left, then possibly squid or white tuna/escolar in the middle-left next to the cucumber.
>>22268078>>222680766. Yellowtail/Hamachi, with the scallion on top. They always serve yellowtail near me as an Arizona Roll with scallion7. Escolar/White Tuna8. Tilapia or some other whitefish
>>22268076>crab stickThat's fucking SURIMI. Gross. The hotdogs of the sea. I have no idea why they put that with real fish meat. Just invest in actual crab meat or forgo entirely.
>>22268108This is snob nonsense. Surimi tastes delicious
>>22268108Surimi is tasty, it just shouldn't be marketed with "crab/krab" in the name.

>>22268145Its ok but I wish it was just called surimi instead of pretend crab
>>22268076>There were 8 proteins in it,Spotted the obese hipster who follows dumb ass trends
>>22268076tuna, roe, eel, red snapper, white tuna, kampachi, shrimp. i'm guessing they are saying the crap sticks, which are imitation, is the 8th protein?
>>22268168>>22268128Surimi itself is just a dyed pink goop. They need to further augment it to make it resemble crab at all (which it never does). It's used for lots of awful seafood knockoff products. Many of those crispy Asian snacks are made with it. It's an all-purpose mush with all kinds of non-seafood ingredients in it. Including wheat flour.
>>22268076Protein is a nutrient. What you mean is there are 8 types of seafood.
