Lactose intolerance is a meme. Just stop being that way.

Unless you have gene editing capabilities like in sci-fi genre type media, he's kind of stuck the way he is bro. Do YOU have capabilities to do this? Na. Didn't think so.
>>
>>22265825
mishap ≠ fuckup, lil bro
>>
>>22265858
Swallow a vial of lactose fermenting bacteria
>but then I'll fart
So be it
>>
>>22265858
Didn't some retarded girl on YouTube claim to fix hers by shitting her brains out for a week?
>>
>>22265858
>gene editing
It's bacteria bro, eat some of that fancy yogurt.
>>
>>22265879
Yeah but she misunderstood how things work. Some people aren't genetically lactose intolerant, but it seems like they are because they don't regularly consume much lactose so their body simply isn't ready to produce the enzyme to break it down. If you consume a small amount of lactose and slowly increase the amount then you can fix that without getting diarrhea.

But this won't work for someone who is genetically lactose intolerant. They might eventually be able to digest small amounts of lactose because their gut bacteria will adapt but it won't make them produce enzymes for digestion and they'll keep getting diarrhea from larger amounts of lactose.

nahhh eat lacto fermented carrots bro, it will fix your gut bro 2% brine bro

Has anybody here ever gotten a building burned down as a result of a cooking mishap? Because that'd be the clear winner of this thread.
>>
>>22265904
yah with the boys we had a big lunch at my place and the boys were doing the cooking
we got shit faced, it was a holiday we went home
police called me because the building burned down

>>

The usual oil spills over and ignites.

Garlic bread caught on fire in the toaster oven because i used the rack not the tray
>>
I made several gallons of turkey-based stock from Thanksgiving scraps. Two turkeys worth. I added dashi, veggie scraps, the rest of the apple cider drippings, all of it.

Decided to take a nap in the afternoon, and 7 hours later I came back to a carbonized stock pot. It would've been four months of stock for my purposes. Gone like tears in the rain.
>>
>>22265947
F for stock
>>
>>22265947
add a lil water and wake it back up
joking btw
>>
Had the propane running with the barbecue lid closed while i fiddled with my lighter for far too long. The ignition was strong enough to push the lid open a few inches.

One time I put frozen sliced bread into the toaster and forgot to set it to "defrost" (which just adds a minute of toastie time) and I took it out and buttred it and although it had a tan on the outside it was still frozen inside
>>
>>22265968
Lol I've done that, dead battery in the spark thing.

I got a 2nd degree burn on the palm of my hand from absent mindedly touching the handle on a pan that had just come out of the oven in order to move it out of the way
>>
>>22265996
are you a mittfag now

bitches dig scars
hands and wrists with burn line scars are hotter than tattoos any day
get it?
xdDXD
>>
>>22266000
Funnily enough I have always been a mittfag and I think that maybe that is why it happened. I always preferred mitts and thought it was gay how "professional" chefs used towels for everything, but leaving a towel on the handle of the pan would have actually reminded me that it was hot and I would have known not to touch it. I took it out of the oven with a mitt and then put the mitt back in a drawer or off to the side I think.
>>22266002
It didn't leave any scar, just bubbled up into a disgusting liquid-filled sac for a week and now you can't even tell
>>
>>22265886
enzymes are not bacteria

I left a wooden spoon on my mother's ceramic hob. The kitchen smelt of smoke for days after.
>>

There are a few, but most recently was a few weeks ago where i was frying some eggs for breakfast. I had just cracked one in the pan and went for a second. The instant that i cracked the second one i was hit with a horrible smell, it was rotten. It was like slow motion, watching that rotten black/green yolk plop down onto my lovely fried egg. Smelled terrible too because the pan was on.
I threw it out immediately and had a meeting to get to so i had to just put the pan in the sink and go to my office hungry.
Owning chickens is awesome because of the eggs, but every once in a while you get a rotten dud. No indication that the egg was rotten before i cracked it.

>>
>>22265975
I hope you've recovered from this traumatic experience
>>
>>22266046
Mittfag here too, I always leave the mitt on hot handles/trays like towelfags leave their towels
>>
>>22267916
Seems like it's pretty common for that to happen at least once to a lot of people. I did the same with a pan that had been in the oven. For some reason I didn't feel any actual pain for at least a few seconds after picking it up too and it hurt so bad for the rest of the day, then by the next day it didn't hurt at all and just had to deal with the blisters.
>>
>>22265814
Excuse me carlos

time helps, but you never truly recover
