Who the fuck is actually drinking non-alcoholic beer?

It's in every grocery store but I've literally never seen anybody buy or drink it.
>>
>>22259997
Many of them still have some alcohol. Like 0.5%
The guy at the liquor store tells me some alcoholics buy the low alcohol beers to try to cut down
>>
>>22259997
Drink those when I'm sick or otherwise can't drink. They kill the craving for beer and don’t make things worse.
>>
>>22259997
alcoholics. most of them sitting on the fence about it if i had to guess.
>>
during my brief stint at the grocery store, every other week kids would try and buy these. sorry dudes, can't do it.
>>
>>22260001
0.5% is like a kombucha. they do still have a little but you're not going to feel anything.
>>
>>22260006
Wait kids cant buy NA beer?
>>
>>22260032
we used to be able to go the store to pick up beer for our dads, but that time has passed =<
>>
>>22260032
nope
>that doesn't make sense!
yes I know, but many things do not make sense
>>
>>22259997
If you have an on-call job and you love your beer, this might be your only answer.
>>
>>22259997
>Who the fuck is actually drinking non-alcoholic beer?
gentlemen that have had bypass surgeries.
>>
>>22260041
it makes perfect sense. surely you can see how if you start drinking NA heinekens as a 12 year old you might want to start drinking real heinekens as soon as possible.
malt soda exists, and is cheaper than NA beer. you dont need to stand up for alcohol companies, i assure you they're doing just fine.
>>
>>22260062
why are you so angry? we were having a nice conversation here.
>>
>>22259997
Me because I like the taste but don't want the effect
>>
>>22259997
i drink almost exclusively 0.0-0.5% non-alcoholics, some taste really good still and you're allowed to drive afterwards
plus, non-alcoholic beer is like a half or a third of the calories to proper beer
>>
>>22259997
Alchies
>>
>>22260032
the reasoning goes that if they were allowed to buy NA beer they could slip real beers in the pack, with employees none the wiser. real Grand Theft Auto shit
>>
>>22259997
I used to work in a gas station and I sold a ton of non-alcoholic beer to Mexicans who I think were under the impression that it was light beer or something.
>>
>>22260001
>Many of them still have some alcohol. Like 0.5%
so does yoghurt, it's a negligible amount
>>
I was forced to move to a flyover shit hole and you have to fucking drive everywhere so I get NA most of the time when I'm at a social gathering and everyone is drinking beer, why anyone would voluntarily move to a place like this is beyond me, absolute hell on earth what in the actual fuck was anyone thinking
>>
>>22259997
I used to drink them a lot, they helped me cut down on my alcohol consumption. I would alternate drinking a normal beer then a non-alcoholic beer. Unfortunately they aren't any cheaper than regular beer so I was still spending a shit load of money. It was a long process but I don't drink on weekdays anymore.

Muslims drink non-alcoholic beer.

In some cases it’s as simple as ‘beer is regulated, NA beer is still beer’.
>>
>>22260032
why would you want kids buying beer unless you're trying to pedo on them?
>>
>>22259997
i'm waiting for non-alcoholic gin

tanqueray does it

Since I quit drinking, I'll occasionally order one when I'm out with friends to be sociable.
They aren't as bad as they used to be when you could only get O'Doul's.
>>
it's been 10 years but the last time i got carded i accidentally was buying non alcoholic beer (very hungover)
>>
>>22259997
I do sometimes when I want a beer but not the calories. The taste has improved a lot in recent years. Not beer, but non-alcoholic lemon sours taste almost indistinguishable from the real deal.

>>22259997
op's picrel is actually quite good
i stopped drinking for about a year and it helped me cut down on crushing a 15 pack every 2 days, close enough to the real thing that it helps the cravings

My mother in law. I don’t know why, but i do know she’s a decent person when NOT drinking

In my state, strip joints can either be fully nude or serve alcohol, but not both. I went to a fully nude one one night, where you'd pay a cover fee and get all you can drink for the rest of the night, either soda or nonalcoholic beer or water, and was watching the girls show their titties and snatches. There was this visibly drunk Navy officer who must have gotten dropped off by cab because there's no fucking way he could have driven himself there.

Anyway, he's slumped in his chair at his table, watching the girls, slamming "beer" after "beer", and after a while he starts a fight with his waitress because he realizes he's been sobering up the entire time he was there. Shit was hilarious.

Anyway, that's one place where people drink NAB.

I've been drinking non alcoholic beer before drinking normal beer, socially at least, gradually increasing ABV.
>>
Alcoholics drink beer so it would stand to reason that non alcoholics drink non alcoholic beer
>>
>>22260032
it still technically has a small amount of alcohol in it, and therefore falls under federal liquor law. most of which has not been updated since Prohibition. we may have repealed the 18th, but a lot of the riders that went with it are still in the books.
>>
>>22259997
Parents, who drank very little to no real stuff, bought and shared non-alcoholic beer with us starting when we were like 10 to 12 years old.
It may have contributed to my sister and me both being actual alcoholics now
