I assume they're being solicited by particular companies that make the menus look like this. It's the only way to explain why all these menus looks the same.

I'm willing to bet it's because a lot of restaurants are always owned by foreign fucks, Greeks, jeets, etc. and they're most likely esl and probably don't now how to prompt properly because they can't fucking speak English which is why is comes out looking like jeetslop
we just had a bunch of local restaurants around here get shit down because the Greek fuck immigrant has been skimping on rent for years and year and they finally came to collect and he had to shutdown all his restaurants cause he's been buying homes and cars and spending all his time on vacations instead of working and paying his bills

I don't honestly know why people need pictures sometimes. It's a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and barbecue sauce with fries and a coke. 90% of the menu at most sit down restaurants are just descriptions with a side picture for the highlight items. AI menu holds as much meaning as any menu.

I get it. Not everyone is a graphic designer. Not everyone can even be bothered to open Word or Publisher to slap something that's coherent together. But if you're operating a restaurant, is it really that fucking hard to take pictures of the food you're already preparing and ask the AI to insert those pictures into the menu? It tells me that either the real food is so unappealing that it looks like shit in a photo or you're just a lazy asshole and probably run your restaurant as such.
    >>
    >>22259571
completely wrong conclusion to draw. if they're skimping on assembling a proper menu, they're probably skimping on other parts of the business, like the food.

Guys, you don't understand. I don't have a camera to take a picture of my food, so I have no choice but to use AI when I'm designing my menu.
    >>
    >>22260973
going 360 degrees around a circle will still leave you in the same place and facing the direction as when you started.
driving around a roundabout and returning the way you came from means you've done a 180 degree rotation
    >>
    >>22261500
At the start of the revolution the car is perpendicular to the radius i.e. its line of sight is tangential to the circumference. After one full revolution (360 degrees), it is still facing the same direction. The moments before and after the car is in the roundabout do not matter.

answer is actually really simple. these dumb motherfuckers prompt EVERYTHING all together. a lot of text AND the images. the model has to diffuse the right thing to the right places, and it wasnt explicitly trained on menus, or even pictures of food but with lots of small text around it.

    the result are these abominations.

Tbh I don’t care that much about AI menus or graphics (they generally look stupid, but whatever), but if they can’t be bothered to check them before sending them off to the print shop to make sure they don’t look like alien bug eggs or maggot loaves, it makes me question even more what’s going on in back of house.
There’s a quick Cuban place in my neighborhood with AI graphics all over the place but they had the decency to make the menu plaintext on paper and the generated posters of surfboards and beaches and coffee don’t make me want to vomit.
I’ve also seen their kitchen and it’s pretty damn clean.

The life story of not-rich younger millennials and zoomers has been witnessing a decline of every single thing and factor trying to whittle normal people down with a death by 30,000 continuous small cuts, and then being told to get used to it. the birth of the car opened up numerous new industries and bolstered many more. road construction, parts manufacturing, tourism in remote areas, and all businesses in general due to having greater accessibility all benefited from the automobile. what AI so far has done has given companies more excuses to slash their workforces in the name of shareholder value, not to mentioning the complete cheapening of art of all kinds.

    >implying anyone who's making trypophobia AI posters for their restaurant is doing local AI
That said, I'm able to run pretty decent models with my 6GB 2060
    >>
    >>22268879
Damn sorry to hear that I can't imagine not being able to run games from 5 years ago properly
    >>
    >>22268885
why would anyone want to play games made in the last decade? and that's being generous
    >>
    >>22268885
    >implying I play and videogames newer than 2010 (except fallout 4 and GTA 5)
It's all Banished, Civ3, fallout 3 and RAGE for me

You have e awful taste but it's your taste so I respect it. I retract my statement your pc is more than adequate for your needs based knows what he likes and likes what he knows bro

    >>22268889
RAGE the id game? A corridor shooter isn't very replayable innit?
    >>
    >>22268894
I know, it's just what I recently played, and gave an example. I also played mass effect, superliminal, dragon quest 11, FF7 remake+rebirth because I bought a 3060.
    Modern games are fun too

    >>22268888
True but some newer ones are very fun. Although they're very heavy on your PC, it will get hot and struggle to keep up. I don't like that.

Until 2016 my main pc was a pentium 4 with 1gb ram. I used to only play civ2 and a few other games. I spent most of my time tinkering with tech because of that, trying to squeeze out the last bit of performance out of my pc. These days I don't play games a lot, I don't when boot into windows as often

Actually wait I think I do know what they are using, it's probably Canva
    >>
    >>22261810
actually they're doing better than ever because they can constantly bring it up in conversation when they're out and about
    >>

Plenty of modern games are worth playing. Nuclear option is very resource heavy but it's one of the best games I've ever played. Racing sims require a beefy pc. There are various statergy games (even some that are a decade+ old in fairness) that still take a high end cpu to really get the most out of them.

    >checking out new pho place near me
    >menu is AI slop

next time I'm just going to walk out. the pho is decent at best (good meat quality but pho broth was lacking hard) plus they had no chili sauce or hoisin at the table which is a major red flag. if a food spot is cutting corners by not making their own fucking menu, they are clearly going to cut corners with the quality of the food. simple as.

I get using it for the layout and everything but for the pictures actually being generated I don’t get why they don’t just photoshop a real picture into it
    >>
    >>22267416
God you're retarded, I don't even hate AI but defending something that is so obviously garbage looking is serious mental retardation and cattle behavior
