I've been cosplaying since 2017 in more than one fandom, and in all of them, i've found immature people of all ages and backgrounds. In my experience, all the usual dramas of cosplay come from a warped sense of entitlement, or lack of enough social skills to cope with said subject without causing negativity to others.Although if more people were sexually mature / sexually active with more common sense, half of the issues would be solves. I've seen so many cases of people being jealous of another and adopting defamation/cancelling campaigns against them based on jealousy. For me, the only way is of social exclusion. Those who are really toxic and engage in behaviors that bother others and cause disruption amongst groups, we should all exclude. In conventions, closing physical circles on them, barely looking at them, turning their back on them. This naturally sends a message that the person is not welcome and at some point they fuck off. It's dirty, but since there's no "reputation bureau" like a credit bureau, this is the only option since very unfortunately you can't ban people 'just' for being bothersome and divisive/toxic.So i'd like to hear from you: How to effectively make cosplaying a better activity?
