I remember being able to get them a couple percent below spot at my LCS in 2021 or so when everyone was complaining about premiums.
I knew them being that cheap wouldn't last for long (prices on Ebay were already decently above what I paid), but I only bought a couple ounces despite having the foresight to know I should've loaded up.

Silver chips that casinos used to make back in the 80s and 90s. The most common size are $10 chips that contain 0.6 ozt. of .999 Silver inside of a brass ring. You had to win them from a special machine and they came in capsules so most examples you find nowadays are completely free of toning a scratches.
Here's one issued by one of Zion Don's Casinos.

>>
>>62834988
There will be some resistance just because it's a round number.
Money is fleeing tech, 10yr treasuries are below 5% and rates didn't hike.
If you look at picrelated are you buying this non-yielding asset?
Or are you buying Oil shipping futures, consumer staples, MMF's?
>>
>>62834981
Lmao yall insist that everyone buy physical at a premium and sell at a discount to coin merchants, so yes you lose an extra 20-40%
You baggots need to at least be accurate with your garbage
>>
>>62835004
I was going to hold off, but I might buy a cool grand if it dips below 50.
>>
>>62834988
no, the opposite of resistance. there tend to be 'stop loss' orders at round numbers like 40/50/60 etc. if silver touches $50/oz, those orders will begin triggering, causing what is known among actual investors, not bagholding plebs, as a 'liquidity cascade'. this means that orders trigger faster than liquidity is available, leading to a price drop as sell orders execute at 'market'. this drop causes more sell orders to execute, and the actual 'cascade' portion happens if there are enough sell orders to hit the next round number, in this case 40, which could then lead to a further cascade to 30, etc, etc.

>inb4 iqjeetshill

i give no fucks about that moron. i own 1200oz of silver and 40oz of gold. but the price IS going down and next week and indefinitely until rates are cut again.

>>
the sell off at 50 will be far larger than anyone is predicting. normies will begin capitulating and flooding the market with cheap sell-at-any-price silver. couple this with the 400 million per year silver surplus and silver might well go negative sub $0 like oil did during the covid-19 pandemic.

Stack as much .999 as you can, but junk silver is basically on sale right now. It will eventually have a premium and it is by far the best choice for fractional silver. If you don't care about holding for more than 10 years, junk is the absolute best buy. If you plan to trade up sooner, .999 is more liquid. Don't stack to speculate, either way. Consider it as a medium of exchange for another asset, such as land or for a construction.

My own purposes are as an inheritance to my future lineage. Generational wealth that does not get sapped by kikes and the government.

Already 1 to 80, mostly likely going back to 1-100, I'm gonna trade gold for silver when it's over 1 - 85

>>62836646
Gold to silver ratio means nothing because the intrinsic value of PMs is way lower than their actual price across the board. Palladium is at least 10 times rarer than platinum on Earth and costs about 50% less. Platinum is 15-30 times rarer than gold, and costs about 65% less.
>>
>>62836692
>intrinsic value
>>
>>62836671
85 is a bit low. 90+ and rising FAST within weeks
its like 79 right now.

thing is though, how does one do a physical gold/silver switch?
pretty sure you still need to do your OWN net ratio
ie deliveries and shit, spreads, premiums, VAT shit - you might be trading 1 oz for 79 oz, while GSR is at 100

silver strikes are/were basically "small jackpots" in specific slot machines called Silver Strikes. i think all the machines are now retired. i won a few way back in the day and held them. i vividly recall playing like 20-30 bucks and getting one each time. the newer ones are silver clad, the older ones have a silver centerpiece with 0.6oz silver.

they are junk collectibles, but i collect casino stuff so

how is silver protection against a dollar crash? 1 Oz of silver was 130 dollars 6 months ago, 1 Oz of silver is 48 dollars today.

I've given up hope on getting a radial-lined Canadian Maple in palladium, so I punted and decided with this big dip to get *a* Pd Maple. Got one for $1,199, and that was their last one!

Also discovered that the 2022 Malta "Europa and the Bull" coin was minted by Asahi. That's like a two-fer. Cool actual coin, and great mint.

Seems the resistance for today is 3890. Those gambling short-term PM trades are stone cold fucked as PMs are just beginning to get raped when the Iran War restarts next week and oil hits record highs. I think in the long run they'll recover as they always do but yeah Im extremely bearish on these rocks for the short-term. I dont think we're at the bottom yet but i'd be happy to be wrong.

I'm honest enough to tell you that as someone who inherited most of their silver I'm simply priced out of a meaningful gold position

Got myself a little bit of gold today. Will the prices fall further? Who knows. In the short term it is possible and for that scenario I'll keep some cash in my back pocket. But if we are at a local bottom, I don't want to miss out on "cheap" gold. Only time will tell.

Because I suspect it to go up, not that much like the PMs but similar. Like I suspected with gold, started buy in 2004, and silver started buy in 2018, and look now ta-da!! I guessed right. ... And also with crypto stuff, see actual biance 6 Billiards hack, ha,ha, nothing learned from 2022 Samuel Bankman-Fried? Works everytime.
>>
>>62837791
ok, I can get copper, but why exactly bronze? That seems oddly specific. Is there something I can't see? I know copper is part of bronze alloys.
>>
If it drops to $44/oz I can afford enough next paycheck to complete 2 of my collections :) Silverbros I'm so happy, these are prices I've prayed for
>>
>>62837819
Umm... I just collect the bronze as coins, because out of print (except Japan 10 Yen) = rare (simlar like what happen to silver coins), and yes because the mostly 95 to 97 copper part in it. And because they look nice too. And because I can get them cheap at fleamarket. Nice side hobby. Just started this year and was surprised how many countries had bronze coins up to mid 1960 an mid 1990s, Kanada stopped in 2013. Mostly you can easy spot them with a magnet, are not magnetic, except some like the 1 Dollar cent up to 1982. ... Beside that, I collect pure copper wire+pipes too from work, thrash to have it as well. Also have some lead pipes+plates. Missed out on those two Platin andPaladium, but you can not have all.
>>
>>62838025
ok, that makes more sense. At first I thought that you were stacking new bronze rods from a metal vendor.
>>
Also grab copper coins + medals when I search for bronze, hard to seperate then with naked eye, so I take them too. (Pic. not mine, but have the coin, found out it is part of a bigger sortiment of medals from Bavaria form 1970s or 80s)

>>62834986

I did go to 2 local coin shops and they literally told me they are not buying silver of any kind right now, they are overstocked. They didn't want to buy my generics or my numismatics. This was the first time I ever wanted to sell any amount of silver so I was a little annoyed. Not shocked, but let down. I was under the impression you can sell it anytime at a lcs. And I obviously don't want to go to a pawn store because I'll be ripped off. So I guess this is definitely a seller's market. I guess I'll keep accumulating. Half of it is a half sunk cost fallacy and the other is I do believe still that silver is monumentally undervalued. But now I have silver that I cannot sell. I called ahead to a third store a state over and they will buy my stuff but for 5% markdown even on my numismatics which are supposed to fetch 20% premiums. Shit sucks. But at least there is a pullback for gold today.

That's not really how it works. Modern numismatics are a bit like Pokemon cards. One or two might be valuable but the chances of drawing something valuable are slim. The vast majority are trash.

There's no blanket 20% premium on numismatics. In fact a lot of the stuff you guys call numismatics has no actual collector demand
