The anthropic S-1 filing doesn't make any sense. By their own numbers, they're supposed to be paying $60B a year for compute services, but it doesn't show up in their listed expenses. Are they actually paying their datacenter providers anything, or did they just give them a bunch of IOUs for 10 years from now after they're magically profitable? Is that why the neoclouds are so desperate for more money?

I think if we give them 2 more weeks they'll start turning profit

Of course it doesn't make sense. The ipo will be tied to institutional banks and the goverment to make us permanent slaves.

So like, are you gonna post the proof, or…

This. Man, the IQ continues to drop here. Didn’t think it could get any worse the last few months

their company is structured such that they do not carry debt on their balance sheet, rather they have issued shares to their creditors who are the ones carrying the debt. the debt still exists, of course.

still no proof? mkay

just a google search away, honey. surely you are capable of that

I'm sorry whats wrong with this? Anthropic has recieved $60 billion worth in traded market value of computational services. They haven't paid for it in US dollars. If they don't start making money in the future to continue paying this they go belly up and never have to pay. So the risk was just differed to someone else who thinks Anthropic will make more money in the future. Not necessarily believing in magic just forcasting potential future demand. I'm sorry but whats the problem?

On dat Enron type shit type shit

People can't even write emails without an AI assistent anymore. This dependency on AI will only grow larger in the years to come and Antrophic (and others) will be able to increase the cost steadily. Youre now paying 200 a month for claude and in 5 years you will pay 1-2k a month
>>
>>62821898
I can use Gemini or some chink model that will write emails effectively for free tho?

Wait till you hear how they're going to go into profit without raising prices somehow, because if thry do everybody starts running their own open weights. Competition is also harsh. Their advanced agent that spawns subagents, coordinates tasks and asks experts is open source and can be forked to work with any model. Kimi and Gemini Flash for instance are just as successful.
>>62821783
So that people understand, this means this company dillutes share value as it goes, scamming both shareholders and creditors, much like a state.
>>62821898
Nope, there's a ceiling for that. You only need to pay for compute. Everybody knows this. Any sizable company has already calculated ceilings and plan B and C for AI spending based on other providers or raw compute.

What debt still exists? The debt that got converted into equity doesn't exist anymore on Anthropic's balance sheet

why do 20 something year old mulattoe zoomers say absolutely retarded shit that is disproved with just seconds of research? they have nearly $120B of debt on their balance sheet.
>>
>>62822141
They have 600billion in binding purchase commitments across google, broadcom, msft, various hyperscalers and spaces (lol).
Almost 80bn a year in the next 10 years, that they do not currently have revenue to cover. and it is not all listed on balance sheet but it is in the filing.

OFF BALANCE SHEET DEBT. If the company doesn't reflect it as a loan the lender doesn't reflect it as an asset.

The S-1 coincidentally stopped right before Q3 results where "growth" plateaued and the cost of doing business rose because they don't have the cheap SPXC rates anymore and the "tokenmaxxing" shit ended.
The whole thing was structured to trick as many retail investors as possible.
>>
>>62821898
Per token cost has been going down dramatically across the board. AI compute is a commodity. Sure a couple companies are in the lead but everyone else is right behind them, and can offer 85% of what Anthropic has for 20% the cost.
>>
>>62822457
My gut feeling is 90% for 33% now, but it'll go down to 20% once these guys want to stop losing money.
>>
>>62822457
>>62825435
And yet Anthropic just earned $16 billion in Q3. Wow, it’s almost as if the Chinese models aren’t that desirable. Wow, it’s almost as if doing 85% of the tasks is irrelevant when the top 15% is what actually does real work. Oh and if you didn’t know, GPT-6 Luna is 20x cheaper than Kimi.
>>
>>62825462
Anthropic gets revenue because it's not horribly overpriced today (but every subscription loses them more money!), and because of inertia and American companies being wary of Chinese ones. That's until they decide to ramp up the price into profitability, then the friction will magically disappear and they'll start bleeding companies, big ones first.
As for Luna and Kimi, your post is intellectually dishonest here which means you must be some shill. Kimi K3 is comparable to flagship models, not mini models.
>>
>>62821673
There are two scenarios for Anthropic:
1. They succeed. They create ASI and they (actually just it) rule the world, create post-scarcity, and money becomes worthless. Possibly because all humans have been exterminated, but hopefully not.
2. They fail to advance further. The company crashes and burns.
Making a profit isn't even on the table. They expect this to play out within the next couple years.

>Per token cost has been going down dramatically across the board. AI compute is a commodity
max IQ to believe this when data centers are still being constructed, cost of labor/construction is increasing, cost of energy is increasing, cost of GPUs/RAM are increasing, etc?
