whoever is the obsessed person that keeps trying to reason and argue with boomer rock funko pop collectors, I think the best way to troll is to reply with estimated market value of """""""stacks"""""""" the baggies keep posting
it's all individual ounce coins with """""""""""hereditary wealth"""""""""""" measuring <$3k and then they have months/years old photos of someone else's "big" stacks measuring <$100k even post-spike
the main point is boomer rock collectors are destitute and this needs to be highlighted when they post yotsuba coins that were minted via dozen of on demand services from a very very scarce metal they're collecting that will end the fed

I'm not trying to be gross, but you could only imagine the smell as the booty cheeks were parted and the stubbled asshole was winking in the moonlight. A slimy slit below the earth-stained abyss, gleeking bleach-white seed and gasping for breath. Leaves rustling in the wind, as if the scent was swinging like a monkey from branch to branch. Total silence from all wildlife, as if the putrid scent had obliterated all sentience, like a deadly chemical agent making its way across no man's land...

What the fuck is this? Greedy merchants literally charging 10% entry fee AND a 20% exit fee. I understand they as a buisness need to make a profit but this is sheer price gouging at a time where interest in metals has never been higher and making money as a dealer has never been easier.
Are LCSs any better?

>charging 10% entry fee AND a 20% exit fee.
On my whole stack I probably average around -1% to +1%. Depends. MintBuilder has at spot deals all the time on generics as well as gov coins. Gold as well.
As far as selling, I called two stores the other day near me. One offered way below spot, one offered a dollar above spot for gov coins. You just have to call around. Cash too. Basically a ROTH IRA, using after tax money to buy and receiving non-taxable cash when selling.
>>
>>62798353
Gold to silver ratio is 1:72 today, stack silver. At least that's my two cents.

>>62798346
As in premiums or price? Looks expensive now but in 5 years you'll wish you bought in.
>>
Daily reminder: There is no silver shortage. If there was such a high demand, how is silver not only readily available, but new stock being put up for sale? New silver is hitting the market daily. Everything from sovereigns, generic bars and rounds, comic book coins, anime coins, etc. Please explain that without sounding like a coping schizo

Such is /biz/ - there won't always be new developments to talk about with any long-lasting asset. I have money for metals thanks to the diversification route I chose when I first arrived on /biz/ but those assets have good odds of going higher.
Those plans pan out even half as well as they can and I'll have fresh OC to share for years, really. But it means playing a patient game for now (since I got the basic 1:100). Exciting times ahead.

Thanks - it's a beautiful series. I had never heard of Lithuanian Mint before I saw pic related in April this year.

Semi-related, if I had waited a little longer my first 100 oz could've been all half ounces coins. Shop ran a nice sale that made them equal to the same amount in 1 oz coins.
>>
>>62798797
Online platforms have more pressure on them to offer good deals as buyers have a lot of options. They buy at below spot from refiners and regular people. Their business has thin margins so its about selling and buying in high volumes constantly. Same as the jewellery business. The refiners are the same.
You gotta shop around.
https://findbullionprices.com/
This site compares prices across multiple sites for the same items. MB consistently has enough deals for my weekly DCA of $200 - $300.
>>
>>62798797
Oh, why they are willing to pay more for junk silver? Its "fractional" and "recognisable" as they believe society is going to collapse any day now. Seriously. That's it. The older people get the more certain they are that the end times are approaching.

>>
>>62798975
Nice. The last boomer I went to admitted to having "over 600lbs" of silver, but refused to sell any of it for a reasonable price. He was at $10 over spot for ASE's. Went on and on about how he bought during the hype at the beginning of the year and didn't want to sell for less than he bought. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
>>
>>62798993
I bought 5 ounces last week, and the guy was a millenial but the son of a boomer. He said that his Dad wasn't really willing to sell any silver since the price was so low. But he ended up selling me 5 ounces for $325
>>
>>62799000
Its a tough business. I'm not sure why local shops do it. I guess because they cna write it off as an expense and use business funds/loans to buy and hold. Doesn't make sense to hold for less than 5 years. Businesses need a steady source of income that can only come from buying and selling.

I fell for the shortage meme back around when WSS started. The longer I held the more I realized there is no shortage for the same reasons you mentioned. There were a couple times when the retailers were all out of stock but that was just another jewish trick imo. I’m still holding my original stack only for the “diversification” aspect of it. I’m definitely not buying more though
>>
>>62798680
Its almost as if when a pawn shop buys silver from a person, the shop sells it in bulk to a refiner who melts it and sells to different sectors, such as industry. With some of it being melted back into coins. No, that would be crazy. People melt down and sell precious metals?!

I have to say it's mildly hurtful the jew said "He always goes on about killing jews and loving fatties".
I mean yes I do that. But to me it's important.
:P
>>
>>62800093
Part of the reason is higher prices if exports are being compared by dollar value

The other reason is the US doesn't actually own the gold it exports. Mining companies, including lots of foreign companies own that gold. And they sell it wherever they can

Also price going up means miners produce more gold
>>
>>62800093
Because they have a shit ton of it, the US is just sitting on massive gold deposits hidden all over the country, untouched until they actually need it. Grand Canyon, Chocolate mountain, just to name a few.
>>
>>62800020
Hey champ, that only furthers my point that there isn’t a shortage. Over half of the silver is being used for industrial purposes where it won’t be recovered, yet the retail market is full of silver, with new silver being released daily. Silver is readily available across all sectors, retail, investment, industrial

I was completely gone from /pmg/ from early 2023 until summer of last year because the shilling and derailment had become unbearable.

Its by design. Most of the decent places to discuss PMs require an account. I've seen this happen before on other boards here, all it takes is one dedicated schizo that has no life and all of a sudden your 10-20 person general is 50% spam. Doesn't help that the /biz/ jannies are basically ignoring this general unless you post about dairy products.

I was walking past a homeless encampment in the way to work and junkie girl sprinted up to ask if i could test a small gold charm some guy gave her and all the other junkies said its fake because its too light but knowing some pieces are just very hollow shells i took a glance at the bale and the gold was worn down but there was no visible base metal so i tested it quickly with acid and it was legit and 1.8g of 14k so i paid $30 and she almost cried in happiness.

The fentanyl junkies where i live love me because even the corrupt gold shops wont even look at unstamped pieces and i will take at least a glance at anything they show me and buy whatever i think is legit. I’d say 90% is not gold but i pass the encampment everyday walking to work so they always have something to show me.

If you buy the gold and give them a couple dollars when they run into you they will defend you with their life.

Whats funny is they often trade real gold for cigarettes because the stamp is too small to read thinking its costume jewelry. One time i was walking by the encampment and they showed me like 20 pieces of junk and a flash of tiger eye on a girls ring and i said- i think that could be legit and rhe girl said no, her bf would never buy her real gold so i told her to take it off and looked with a loupe and it had a tiny 10k marking so i gave her $50 and it ended up being 5g of 10k. Even when you lowball they treat you as a god

Usd lasts as long as american companies can sell goods.

Usa prints money

Word trades goods for usd

World buys oil in usd

World buys american stocks in american stock markets

But now

Iran bombs saudi oil refineries

Usd denominated oil dries up

Chinese companies outcompete american companies

….

So will the world buys oil american stocks if the world is not buying american goods?

If the world is buying chinese cars why is the world giving trillions in investment dollars to tesla? Isnt this why musk is exit scamming with a flying car? He knows the world is buying chinese cars not teslas so he says… dont worry we have the flying cars (that use 10k worth of jetfuel to get you to work)

So iran bombs oil refineries selling usd denominated oil

And chinese sell goods through chinese companies that out compete american companies.

So if theres no usd denominated oil and rhe world is buying goods from china- then who needs the usd?

Thats why tesla is shifting to investment scamming with flying cars and america has to regime change saudi to convert saudi into an official nation sized us military base

Usa structurally cannot compete with china if they cannot build infrastructure (they cant even figure out high speed rail or powerplants to fuel data centers), cant figure out how to lock down commodity supply chains (begging china for rare earths), and csnt figure out how to root out drugs since the jewish elite is scared that a sober america will shake them off

This is how the usd dies
>>
>>62801738
I’ll add:

The world is buying chinese goods

So why is the world using usd to buy american stocks?

You are supposed to buy stocks of companies that sell goods not the companies that are losing

So why doesnt china internationalize rmb, offer platforms for the world to buy chinese stocks, and instruct market leaders to pay dividends from rheir profits since market leaders are making money unlike the companies they are defeating

Isnt it a scam of the usd system that the us prints money and flings it around the world then says buy oil (but the refineries just got droned by iran) and american stocks (even though our companies are out competed by chinese companies)

so why doesnt china say: here are international platforms to buy chinese stocks, while instructing their market leaders to pay dividends, while telling the world the usa is scamming the world by printing money and handing those dollars to the world only for it to flow back to the usa inflating stock markets as proof the usa is winning even though american companies are actually losing. Lmao

I buy gold because i refuse to support this absurd usd system by investing in usd equities
>>
>>62801761
Correction, the world is buying Chinese manufactured good, with American ingenuity. The Chinese can make shit all they want but it will never be to the American standard of things. Do you think Xiaomi is a better tech company than Apple? Do you think any Chinese car company can make a better car than a Camaro? The truth is the Chinese are only good as long as they can continue to borderline enslave their people.

Just keep in mind that unlike our ancestors who had to make all sorts of dangerous journeys to make their fortune, many of us have and will make ours in far more comfortable conditions, even from our very homes.
People are more and more realizing that there are things that are slipping and things they can do even if it should've been the generation of their parents or grandparents that should've handled it. You are going to see people using their great means for more and more practical purposes, even if many will still blow it on partying and consuming. The pace will pickup.

Silver is getting expensive. Last year it was $40 and it ran up to $120 in three months.
It's a sad day that we all knew was coming when the firesale on silver came to end.
Our fiat dollary-doos will buy less and less silver over the years. Back in 2021 I could make a "small" purchase of 8-9 rounds for $210. That same small purchase is 3-4oz at a time.
That trend will continue until silver is priced similar to gold. When the average wage can't earn enough money to buy even 1 ounce per month.

The trick to trading is that you end up with more value than you spend. I'm a wagie cagie and earlier this year I had a fortune.
Bankers can dilute dollars to 100% loss and I'm guaranteed to profit from the carnage. It's very comforting to know that the dollar is mathematically doomed and I am hedged completely.
Have you seen the excel sheet? only 20% of the human population can acquire 60 ounces. That's nothing. But is it possible to corner something like.... Treasuries or currencies with such little cash?
It seems obvious to me the physical/scarce nature of metal is fundamentally different than the endless levels of dilution created by the bond markets.

Waiting on the last round of revisions for the Chicken
Will post more about the gold round when I hear back

For those who haven't seen it:
>Gold value per 1/10 oz coin: approximately $416
>Custom production premium: $75 per coin over spot
>Preliminary unit price: $491 each
>50 pieces: $24,550
>$1,000 Die/Setup Fee
>Production gave us two possible formats:
>16 mm diameter × approximately 0.80 mm thick
>18 mm diameter × approximately 0.63 mm thick
>Their preference is the 18 mm version because the larger diameter gives us better results with the embossing.
>At this thickness, the artwork would need to remain a fairly flat 2D design. Production is also recommending that we keep the primary design to one side, with the reverse kept simple in a matte or lightly sandblasted finish rather than trying to create another highly detailed polished face.
This is all still speculation and not a concrete plan, not sure if we would be able to meet the minimum 50 required unless there's some crazy rich angel investor

We back.

Not sure if you saw it, but there was an idea from last thread to have the gold coin be minted in 14 karats. Could be worth pursuing, going for lower purity, if it's enough to bump up the size and we can get detailed designs on both sides.

If it's around 500 I'm buying one. Through a friend. But lowering the purity could be good while keeping it 1/10 oz. This way it could be slightly larger, more durable to play with but still be barely affordable.

I'm going to sleep now but this gold coin idea is great . Think of ot. If I can afford 2 I could make pics of one in a fat chicks hand. Then cover each side in boob sweat. Then press each side against her (just showered, I mean we are gentlemen) butthole. And then sell it online.
Just kidding of course I'm keeping that one.

You know they make gold in denominations smaller than 1 oz, right?
There are anons here who mainly stack Gold 20 Francs (and similarly sized coins) which cost a little under $800 on most websites.
You can get a 1 gram Gold Bar for around $160 if you don't mind the fact that that's 20% over spot.

In civilized countries they use gold and copper leaf in public restrooms. Y'all ever beautify your community with volunteer public works or do you just selfishly hoard.? We know the answer the pmg motto

I rather doubt that. Leaf wears off too easily. Brass however...
>>
>>62804643
So even at 14k gold the diameter remains around 18mm and price still around $500?
That’s a shitty deal, not worth in my opinion since the only benefit is a slightly thicker coin. I prefer the 24k option.

That being said I would buy 2 coins either way.

real money sisters, i don't feel so good...

but unironically, how many of you would be retired now if you'd put the money you spent on rocks, into -literally any- tech stock over the last few years? i know i would lol, genuinely considering selling my physical and buying an index fund with the money, taking the 75% loss, and moving on. i still think there's a future for PMs, but it's in the next cycle, i see silver and gold bottoming out around $12/oz and 1400/oz in the ~2031-2032 timeframe, then creeping back up to the $30s/2000s in the 2040s. that'll be the time to buy physical.

Volatility. The slowing economy and rising gas prices are deflationary. As more and more reports of people not paying car loans, medical bills, credit cards etc come through, banks will try to inject more liquidity to offset deflation. So, there will be a see-saw style effect as these forces play out. One side you have a giant straw siphoning capital out of the economy, and on the other you have an increasingly troubled banking system responsible for pumping money back into the economy. Banks won't let themselves go under. And so at the end of the day they only have a printing press.
The debts are going to be monetized one way or another.
