it's a tricky thing. the accumulation of large amounts of wealth is systemically bad. sorta like heat death of a financial system. important to redistribute wealth, but the human interaction patterns on top must also be (mostly) preserved. e.g. maintaining peace is about maintaining lots and lots of systems. one thing i've been exploring is taking a merkle tree and operating it like a zipper. accumulate an argument of validity behind the insertion tip of an incremental merkle tree. this argument ingests entries and represents a node at a variable vertical position in the tree
