What's /an/ons stance on massive deforestation that is happening to Taiga forests?https://www.google.com/maps/@59.1212576,101.5730683,288091m/
I can do nothing about it.
curious how they get the wood anywhere. I guess it's loaded onto train and shipped to china? this area is like 2000+ miles away from any major population center.
>>5170068>MUH DEFORESTATION!!!!!!!Big deal. All those areas will turn into grasslands and meadows until they regrow in 30 years. We aren't actually supposed to have endless forest everywhere.
>>5170068Suffering the same all the forests in the US suffered post-colonization, very sad. RIP
>>5170643And here's an example of a dumbass with a noble savage fetish
>>5170658What, massive amounts of forests in the US were cut down during the 18th - 20th century. Many areas lost 90 - 99 percent of the trees that once covered them. This happened, if you think it was a good thing then fine but you can't pretend it didn't occur.
>>5170661Because you said "post-colonization" implying that muh natives were so much better as if they didn't burn down forests as well. There's a reason you can find random pockets of great plains vegetation in places far outside their "natural" range. The 99% of trees figure was also pulled out your ass and the only reason we had that many trees is because European diseases killed all the indians that were actively managing the landscape. Yes there are trees that are thousands of years old but they are in places like wet lowlands that were protected from disturbance.Next you'll tell me a squirrel could have traveled across the continent without ever stepping on the floor.
>>5170068makes me sad :(
