https://youtu.be/BJzJtm7OfdQ?is=LDNYUrD7WQqiAQI3In this particular video on Neanderthals, he basically claims that Europe was full of white cavemen but the black cavemen came over from Africa and slowly replaced the white cavemen defeating them in battle though some white cavewomen switched teams and got with black cavemen.I'm literally not joking, watch the video. How true is that by the way?And is TierZoo still a food educational Animal YouTuber?
>>5169898delete ur bbc b8 thread brah
It is trash
wut. thats genetically not accurate. the only existing traces of neanderthal DNA came from males interbreeding with brown tomboys from the middle east and their offspring spread back up north to asia and europe

Maybe it's cuz I got ADHD but I find myself only able to enjoy my first video from them and nothing more
>>5169898No. I had fun with the first couple of videos i watched but the gimmick got old fast.Scientific names should be said in prehistoric animal documentaries
>>5169905yeah idk how people miss the obvious fact that Neanderthal DNA in the human genome is entirely autosomal. It's likely that their contribution to our genepool was mostly from the daughters of pairings of Neanderthal males with sapiens females. But the key here is that these pairings likely happened within Sapiens social groups. We see hybrid individuals in Neanderthal groups but these groups went extinct and did not contribute to modern human genomes. The other thing people seem to miss is that the expansion of anatomically modern humans was much more negative for archaic homo sapiens than it was for other more distantly related hominids. archaic homo sapiens are poorly understood but appear to have been utterly wiped out very shortly after the appearance of modern sapiens populations. I think that probably comes down to us being adapted to the same resource base as them while we didn't directly compete with Neanderthals and the like as much, and in fact integrating non-sapiens hominids into our social groups effectively expanded our resource base. The true 'hack' of modern homo sapiens was likely the mutations associated with neoteny allowing for larger, more complex and more dynamic social groups.
this video is 7 years old btw
>>5169898>what if real life...>WAS LE VIDEO GAME>*does the same video 50 times in a row*>*talks about 3rd grade level stuff*>*still somehow gets it wrongLike the other Anon said, the first time it was funny but it gets old super fast. The whole "hehe, I'm a smarty biologist pop-scientists man" shtick is an additional irritant.
