I move from Siberia to US and find a turtle without shell. Very cool. Pls excuse English ok
>>5166402the english word is frogyou shouldnt pick them up either, handling them too much fucks up their skin mucus and theyll suffocate
>>5166402Lmao
>>5166402Don't be silly, that's the illusive tailless lizard.
>>5166402how did you move there? why.
>>5166441If he's like the three other russian migrants I know who are all also from the arctic circle for some reason, draft-dodging. Russia has mandatory national service for boys, and it's apparently a rape/death trap.
>>5166402That's Roy. Cheeky bugger that one.
>>5166402Where in Siberia has Turtles that doesn't have Frogs?
>>5166518how come southern new zealand doesn't have any frogs but the north does?
>>5166519They went extinct there when the Polynesians arrived. No clue why they only survived on the North Island.
>>5166402Cute
>>5166402wtf. how did he lose his shell?
>>5166466that aside, its not cheap to travel over the atlantic, to get work permit, to find housing..i would assume northern europe, baltic, any other east europe would be good enough unlesss of course someone senses WWIII
>>5166402That does not look like an Eorhynchochelys...
>>5166518Looking at the combined ranges of all turtles, it's shocking how limited their range is in Europe, Siberia and the Arabian peninsula.
>>5166686looks like they need snapping turtles
>>5166625>Be fat lizard>Bloat your ribcage outside your body>Remove your fenestrae so people think you're an anapsid in the future like if you're covering your tracks>Refuse to elaborate. Why did they do it?
reminder
>>5166753Why
>>5167039the heat of the frog sterilizes the milk
>>5166753Witchcraft
>>5166753does this harm the frog?
>>5166402>In Soviet Russia frog sting you!
>>5167441The frog will die after 10 minutes. The milk needs a steady supply of frog
>>5166686Now overlay that map with countries that have recipe books with chapters on "turtle soup".>protip: thats "current ranges", not historical.
I like frogges
>>5166694faustian spirit
>>5167578Surprised they eat turtles (or at least used to) in the Middle East.
>>5168226>eating pigs is LE BAD, but filthy bottom feeding scavenging salmonella carrying reptiles? yup! perfectly fine! I don't get it either.
>>5168353According to Darwin giant tortoises were absolutely delicious.
>>5168353Only scratching the surface of the stupidity of mudslimes and whatever the hell is "haram".
>>5168421I accidentally stumbled upon the islam reddit while looking for reptile stuff and someone asked if they need to kill geckos that get into their house. Everybody in the comments was literally demanding they kill every gecko they find because of a single sentence in their holy book or some shit that said they were dirty.
>>5168353I think it was because pigs are omnivores? Or (more likely) a carry over from Mohammad copy pasting Jewish rules.
>>5168411Why are frogs so perfect
>>5168423Reminds me of animal purity in judaism and zoroastrianism, I didn't know geckos were bad in islam, only dogs and especially black dogs though yes.
>>5166402Are you mega retarded or what
>>5168353>>5168439pigs not being kosher was to fuck over some other group out of money, not because of any hygiene
>>5167459This one looks really happy
>>5166690This one looks really happy too
>>5168423What the hell did geckos do to them to warrant such killing? >>5168439Almost every turtle that is not a tortoise is some form of obligate omnivore or carnivore though so I don't think that's the case. Even sea turtles can give you chelonitoxism which is a fatal disease you can catch when eating them due to the toxic prey animals they eat. At least when I eat something from a pig I wont have to worry about it potentially giving me a horrific neurotoxin disease.
>>5169170What a happy little dude
>>5166686>>5167578>European Pond Turtles used to inhabit much of Northern Europe and Scandinavia>The Caspian Turtle has relict populations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and the Sulcata tortoise has a relict population in Yemen>The gap in Australia used to be inhabited by MeiolaniidsSo what used to live in Western South America?Did turtles ever even make it there?
>>5169446A surprising thing I learned about meiolaniids was that they weren't just in Australia and neighboring islands but also in lower south america around argentina and patagonia.
>>5169380Dood
>>5166402Adorable
