I didn't realize it at the time because this series took so fucking long but Hibike Euphonium is really great. It's probably the best Kyoanus series. It surpasses Haruhi because Haruhi doesn't have an ending.

>>291998102I would agree, I really see it as their magnum opus. It defined the studio as their best and most consistent work for the past 10 years. The fact it persisted to the end as a whole new generation of KyoAni worked through it is remarkable on its own. It's just crazy to me how huge the cast and scope of the show gets, and how meaningful every bit feels.
