Suffers from "definitely needed a couple of more episodes" syndrome. It had a strong start and had way more fleshed out characters than the first season. However they're still very quickly introduced with established relationships. They have the cthede characters are like that " type of writing. Not white" telling and not showing " but there isn't enough showing for me to get fully emotionally attached. For example Avida could've been really interesting as a character, she's mostly the worried mother for most of the run time and then takes on a very dangerous mission to save her daughter and dies. I think her death could've hit better if we got more time with her, the best characters in this show are David, Roman, King and Talia. They actually get proper character arcs and enough screen time to get emotional attachments from the audience. Omi and lupi has the worst case of the problem I was talking about earlier, their trauma and characters are just dropped in and their inclusion felt really forced. But not bad enough for me to not enjoy it, it's a solid 7/10 that's closer to an 8 than a 6
>waaahh it was too shortso you bloody loved it *and* wanted more? You fag.
>>291988562Avida had no potentialShe would have hit harder as a character if she and Kiril were merged. Avida was pure emotion. Kiril was a corpo rat with some signs of parental affection or at least pride. Making them into one character would have been the best possible route, as a parallel to King being an edgerunner. It could also set up as a pretext for why they separated.the more I think about it, the more i have no clue why they DIDN'T do that.
>>291988562>Suffers from "definitely needed a couple of more episodes" syndromeJust like season 1
Please be quiet, he's sleeping.
>>291989066Yeah but unlike season 1 this time around characters weren't so forgettable that I forgot half the cast's names

>>291990584I'm sleepy anon and my Microsoft auto correct took over. I was trying to say they just show the tidbits of a character's background instead of properly writing them. David is just shown to be traumatized but I'm not sold in his trauma, the story just tells me he is and I'm expected to sympathize with him
>>291988562>tl;dr I want to make babies with Roman Carax because I can't explicitly post my thread without hiding my true intentions behind a wall of text.Sage.
>>291988562no matter how many episodes shitflix produced, it still wouldn't be anime
>>291989066I did not feel that way about S1. I DID feel that way about S2, because there were more barely-connected plot threads/POVs being juggled. (Not OP btw.)
>>291988562So just like S1 then.
>>291989100Made for oneesans
>>291988562The problem with these short ass shows is that for some reason they think they need to focus on many characters instead of just one or two. It should be treated as a mini story or the beginning of a long one, instead they just write 24 episodes worth of content and cut it down to 12.
>>291988562More like it suffers from "woke netflix slop" syndrome.
