Erasing potentially good memories of someone for his experiment pretty much solidified I wasn't really gonna sympathize with him at all going forward.The way Chisato's mom reacted to the photo of her, and him seeing the blank spot in his album though makes me think though, that there is more at play with the memory thing. Like the people affected have some sort of reaction when confronted with evidence of the memories.

Her still being a child and seemingly normal one, she does have what you said.Contrast with the MC being far more malicious in his thoughts and actions. Plus we keep getting his inner monologues making it clear what kind of person he really is.

Her caring more about some gay little card than the fact that it would get Akuta beaten by his father made me not give a single shit about her when she fell in the hole entirely accidentally and with zero foul play. Kasuga making Akuta feel guilty about that was the one thing I held against him. And then he goes and starts bullying him and erasing things he treasures. After that I am on team comeuppance for Kasuga. Although if he does actually help Akuta with his dad in a non-fucked up way that doesn't make things worse, I may change my mind again.

Kasuga should do an experiment on himself to know what the people who have forgotten experience. He could write a note to himself explaining that he gave Akuta some item to throw in the pit. And then also tell Akuta to ask him about the item afterwards. Especially since it is Akuta's grandmother that talks about the pit, so the dad probably knows too. I wouldn't have thought that there would be any other way than tossing his dad in. But I also thought Kasuga was going to have to throw out all of his mom's shit himself. At the very least, I think he'll try and determine if there is something like that he can throw in before resorting to the dad himself.
