At what point did Kishimoto's art stop being so dynamic and ambitious, and became content with being boring slop?
>>
Define "boring slop".

volume 1 chapter 1 page 1

Just safe and generic angles and poses, stopped using fish eye lens completely, stopped using afterimage effects like OP completely, character designs with less exaggerated features and more unnecessary details. Less ambitious and experimental with his art in general. Like the war arc reads like someone else drew it.

He once said he liked the anime art style so much that he tried to imitate it
I've never seen such successful artist with so low self-esteem.
>>
>>291954039
probably a gradual thing, the bigger problem for me was how the art got so bad that i struggled to figure out what was even happening

same thing with oda and wan piss
>>
>>291954045
Anything he doesn't like
>>
>>291954039
Pain arc
>>
>>291954039
for me it was the Tsunade arc. That was also around the time the anime got popular(only much later I got the confirmation that he did indeed supposedly said that he tried to imitate the anime style)
>>
>>291954039
It was always bad but at least it had a sense of identity until the late chunin exam where he started copying the anime.

He kept drawing some great spreads or panels here and there and kept his art somewhat technically sound, but his panelling, sense of choreography and composition were trash from the first chapter to the final one.
>>
>>291957730
If Kishi is trash then Oda must dog shit.
I guess Kubo was the only good one.
>>
>>291957773
Oda would be worse technically but with a better sense of choreography and paneling maybe back then? Current Oda is just as bad as Kishimoto when it comes to that stuff

I wouldn't say Kishimoto is trash but he's really bad at specific things and pretty good at others which bumps it up to okay-ish
>>
>>291957799
Nah Oda was never good and Kishimoto was better at getting kids to read for a reason since you don't need good reading comprehension skills to read Naruto(according to Torishima anyway).
>>
Oda peaked at Gear 2 debut. Kishimoto was still doing stuff even in the war arc like the three way camera and fish eye lens.
It's pretty much late war arc where he got burned out.

>you don't need good reading comprehension skills to read Naruto
That's wrong on so many levels
You can read the dialogues and they'll tell you what's happening but 90% of the visual action are either
>confusing and weirdly portrayed
>underwhelming (lack of impact, bad choice of shot)
>entirely missing (weirdly skipped)
>>
>>291957845
He was still pulling good spreads and cool inspired pages with nice visuals even in the late war arc, the issue with him hasn't changed since the beginning where he will rarely bother to draw the cool things that should be happening. Most of what you get is a bunch of character faces talking

>>291954039
when it became for-profit, like juan piss
literally the definition of goySLOP
>>
>>291958076
Are you retarded or genuinely underage? Do you believe this was ever anything other than a commercial endeavor?
>>
>>291954109
You try to do what you ask week in week out for hundreds of chapters, retard. Any non retard would eventually end up streamlining the process as much as possible and any person would eventually get burned out doing the same shit for decades
>>
>>291957730
>it's the obsessed dbzspic at it again
>>
Honestly, the art is probably the only thing about it that stayed consistently good.
It did lose some of the grittiness and dirty look it had early on, but compared to whatever Boruto did with it it's still miles better than what could've been or rather is.

Being a weekly mangaka is like working for the vidya game industry. You work for a Black Company that grinds your soul into dust.
