Cid will never break character from one of his chuuni acts the way Kazuma caves and begs for mercy after 5 seconds of acting out of character, but at the same time there will *never* be any kind of romance between Cid and the girls the way there is at least some sort of implied romance between Kazuma and Megumin. Superficially, it also has some of the best fights in all of fantasy or action anime in recent memory, as well as some of the most robust and broad-spectrum fanservice I can remember seeing in a single anime.
