The anime picked Scarlet as the version it's based on and Professor Sada built the time machine specifically to summon Pokémon from the past, so Miraidon shouldn't be there. We could assume these weren't summoned by the time machine but by the Area Zero Terapagos in the past with its pink fart gas since they're depicted on the cover of the Scarlet/Violet book, but that would really cheapen the game's story. Your Raidon takes the whole game to regain its powers and confidence until it can challenge the one who killed the professor, and there was another one at full power just chilling all along? Ultimately I find their inclusion far weaker and more forced than the other ties between the game and the anime.

Most of what we were told last week wasn't true at all - the treasures never belonged to the king, but to a noble that lived many years before the kingdom of Paldea was formed, and the region was divided into lots of small countries constantly at war with each other. The noble was betrayed by trusted companions and robbed of the treasures, which got passed from one bad guy to another while getting exposed to humans' negative emotions - specifically the grudge the noble held towards those that stole the treasures and the bad blood between the people constantly warring through the region. These emotions mixed with each other as they grew in size long after the treasures had been discarded in different places across Paldea until they transformed into Pokemon during the era of the king's reign. Being alive gave them the instinct to meet up with each other to form a complete being composed solely of the hateful emotions their original owner felt, which would also kill the Pokemon again.
>>291957260Since the king's castle was located in the center of Paldea, that ended up being the place they all got drawn towards, and the frightened king turned to a young girl from the east said to be able to live with Pokemon and bond with them. The girl met with the Ruinous Pokemon, bonded with them, and calmed them down, promising them that if they went to sleep for a while, she'd come wake them up once things had calmed down a bit. They did this, but the king got cold feet and ordered that the Pokemon be sealed away forever to make absolutely sure they wouldn't pose a danger any more. The king forced the girl to help him construct the four sealed shrines, but the girl only pretended to help, taking the opportunity to construct a secret way to undo the seal - a series of stakes that could only be pulled out by a kind trainer that truly loved Pokemon from the bottom of her heart.That last detail about who can pull the stakes isn't revealed until the end of the episode, when Hokkora explains to Sango that she should be proud of herself for doing what she did.

What a letdown of an episode. This anime biggest flaw truly is being tied down to the games. Every time the plot involves something from there, the episode ends up being shit. At least brat was cute.
