Honestly, yes. I've been rewatching all the old episodes on the official Youtube channel; they are better than I remember. Though, it starts going downhill once he gets to Sinnoh.
>>291928621The earliest episodes are the only ones that hold up in the sense that they're enjoyable even for someone who isn't into Pokèmon. Ash is a total shithead, Pikachu is a demon, Misty is peak tomboy, Brock hits on anything with two legs. It's just high quality in general, they put effort into making it its own thing rather than just an ad for the games and merch like the later episodes and seasons turned out to be.
