>>

>>
>>291927024

>>

this anime reminded me to finally get into investing. I opened a Roth IRA and will be max contributing buying VOO every year for retirement. is this a sound financial decision, /a/?
>>
>>291927374
to be fair, i dont think this has caused anyone to lose their life savings and kill themselves
>>
>>291928277
I mean congrats, but putting money into retirement should be as obvious as brushing and flossing your teeth
>>
>>291928471
no they just end up in a life of drugs and prostitution where you only die if you don't git gud
>>
>>291928277

Gambling I mean trading is healthy

So why did she choose the easy way out instead of actually facing up to her husband?
Aren't the elevens all about "taking responsibility" or something?
Why did she run from responsibility?
>>
>>291932526
People who do this kind of shit have zero impulse control
The second the option occurred to her she did it
>>
>>291928008
Instead of creating actual products or services you are just a lubricant for the system
>>
>>291927024
bitch probably has no physical assets. Sad. Dealing in digital is a recipe to owning nothing and not be happy either.
>>
yeah I guess
>>
>>291932526
in Japan removing yourself from society to not bring further shame to your famiry IS taking responsibility
>>
>>291932526
She actually thought this was taking responsibility. That's the issue. Also if she has a debt it doesn't reflect on the family. Of course she's wrong and that's the tragedy of it.

>>291927024
this is literally the average /bjz/jeet getting rugpulled on a shitcoin or cryptogoy

better than the alternative

I did the same by being a hiki-NEET for years, I wish that my family felt the same, then there would never be anything to worry about, win-win for everyone!
>>
>>291936953
if you're still alive you didn't do it right

Why didn't she pimp out her JC daughter if she needed money?
Why aren't any of the girls sucking dick for a quick cash injection?
>>
>>291927024
is this a good anime to teach me about stock exchange stuff?

No idea
Pokemon Trainer did not show up in any subsequent threads

I don't get it. Isn't the whole point of investing in stocks is to support a company/industry that you see potential growth in it so that when it finally reaches its peak in the future, you reap the benefits from its success? Of course if you treat it like gambling then it's gonna fuck you over.
Forgive me if I sound like total noob when it comes to /biz/ talk.
>>
>>291939302
They're not investing in stocks, they're buying/selling currencies and gambling on how their relative worth is going to evolve. For instance you gamble that USD is going to get more expensive than yen
>>
>>291927024
She's super cute. Is she fixable or did she ruin her life beyond repair?
>>
>>291939454
Watch episode 1 of FX Senshi Kurumi-chan to find out :)
>>
>>291932526
Because she would need to wageslave for years while under the scorn of her husband and daughter. There's no light at the end of the tunnel.
>>

That was the original idea, but the modern day stock market is completely divorced from reality. You'll often see a stock drop on good news or rise on bad ones. In the end it's just a game run by investment firms and algorithms.

that's mostly short term movements though. those are completely detached from reality because it's just everyone trying to predict how the other market participants will react to try and scam them rather than acting based on reality.
it's less of an issue long term.
>>
>>291940418
Longer term is harder to predict unless you're just betting on the entire market.
>>
>>291939302
Buying stocks does not support a company (except tangentially by supporting the price so that it doesn't become the target of a hostile takeover), unless you buy them directly from the company in e.g. an IPO or SEO. However, as a retail investor you will never get this opportunity, unless a company is magnanimous enough to reserve a portion of its stock for retail investors in its IPO. A normal person buying stocks buys them from someone else, and the company never sees that money. And yeah, it's still gambling since
>see potential growth
is still you gambling that there's growth, and stock prices are mostly speculation-driven.
>>
Daytrading is degenerate
Last year I had stocks that went 30% down but today they're already back to normal
