The manga is better. To enjoy Aria, you need at least an IQ of 300. It's normal that you won't like it because it's contemplative and focused on its characters.

Modern anime fans are the biggest videophile retards who think that "1080p = more better" regardless of whether or not the show was actually intended to be watched at that resolution, which Aria was not. These are the same people who will shit out the most bloated releases for modern series with 20 filters on them and insist there's a huge difference in quality, yet their comparison screenshots still look identical to any other release they're put up against.
Aria is meant to be watched at 480p. Find the old fansubs, you'll get a better experience than this.
