By 90 standards he's actually quite a deep character, once you get finish the whole series. But reaching that point will take us a while.Low key Vash is a shonen protag without plot armor when it really matters, and that's a rarity. It's easy to be Goku when Shenlong can resurrect people all the time. Trigun Maximum, in that sense, features meaningful differences from the formula.
