Okarun losing his powers was made as confusing as possible where we still don't know if he lost his powers or not, if the oni powers are something new or not, if him working out mattered or not. Removing turbo granny and Seiko also affected the story in negative ways something already being a thing in the alien invasion arc, now only getting more noticeable. CSG and his motives still being a mystery this far into the arc/saga, instead giving us fucking Vlad and his goons.

The naturally accrued cast suddenly being a crowd of strangers (and Jiji) to her. It's more frustrating due to two additional factors. One is that it's taken a backseat. It seemed that CSG was going to abuse her amnesia to get in her head and turn her loyalties, but that seems unlikely given this update, and we're in the middle of a romance tangle, slice of life fun at the park, and giant action section, so that's all going to have to wait a good while if it comes around. Two is that the amnesia arc is following Momo being tiny, and trapped in a box, and punished by a ghost. It can be a frustrating trip up on its own but it's the latest link in the chain of "oh oops not yet". And frankly I enjoy DDD and its cast and I was surprised Okarun even did a love confession in the first place so "early" so I wouldn't technically care that the two leads haven't gotten together yet, but if it's going to be such a focal obstacle the "get the hell on with it" mentality is going to sink in for more and more readers.
