I'm so happy to have a main villain shown up early in the part again, bros. We're 40 chapters in and we already know more about Howler than we ever did about Toru. He has the potential to be one of the best written main villains in the series so far. But what if I told you that Jobin was never main villain material to begin with?First off, Jobin was never going to be main villain because Araki literally introduced a whole new enemy faction akin to the Pillar Men into the part. Obviously, the main villain had to be a rock human who was a visionary similar to Kars and Jobin was NOT it. Second off, Jobin was was never main villain material because he was too subservient to the rock humans. Letting them into his home, trying to kill his family, etc. The rock humans literally saw him as a pawn. Even Dolomite said to Yasuho that Jobin was a "Gofer" a.k.a a Lackey.Lastly, the reason why Toru was introduced so late and why Jobin wasn't the main villain is ultimately due to the fact that JoJolion is a mystery part akin to DIU. The mystery of who's behind the Rokakaka trade and Josuke's identity. Obviously, you can't spoil the mystery by introducing your main villain so soon. That's how I knew Howler is different. Because this is a different part now with a different vibe. It's a adventure with a clear cut goal, so obviously it needs a more present main villain. Howler's been given alot of setup, history and even parallels to previous main villains like Diavolo and Pucci to fit the bill. And we're only 1/3 into the part. Even his stand name, Eclipse Eight, sounds main villain worthy than Speed King. And despite being betrayed, his subordinates even called him the Final Boss. It's more obvious than ever that Howler is the main villain and will bounce back in the future. Jobin was just never meant to be because rock humans were in the way.
