How can there be lore of a Golden city at the bottom if no one has ever returned? Why is everyone of Orth so secretive and hostile about what they know? Is it just politics and greed or is there a grand conspiracy? Why is the ruling class complacent and sugar coating the 2000 year cycle? What do all the different factions ultimately want?I fear that the story will turn out like Darling in The Franxx.

I'm seeing the mixed reaction I expected. MiA diehards love it, more casual viewers are kinda torn. I saw this with KnY as well, the consequences of splitting a source material into a movie trilogy that wasn't designed to be a movie trilogy leads to some pacing issues. Ups and downs, highs and lows distributed across the movies unevenly often not meeting the expectations people have of a complete arc when they go to see a movie in a theater. Made even worse by the fact you're now waiting for another year or 2 until you get to see the next part.I personally do not care how the adaptation is delivered because it plays second fiddle to the manga anyways. However I would expect that a movie style delivery would be produced at a movie level of quality. At the very least it sounds like we got a movie quality OST (minus the pink cunt cameo) but did not get movie quality visuals. I haven't seen it to confirm it myself but that would bother me if it is the case.

Either the studio adjusted the color value to show to Tsukushi but on the way back, time passed and somebody forgot to adjust it back, or Tsukushi was drunk and just sent them a picture and the studio went with it, or it's an artistic statement to bring attention to colorblindness as a condition.
