An enjoyable chapter. I like how this is finding its footing right as the same time as Cannon Master, which had such a good chapter. Even Under Doctor was good, since we got glasses off Haiji for once.

>>291852144I want to believe the author is a rare case of someone who reads books beyond manga and LN given their knowledge of non-Japanese spooks. Modern manga feel so derivative because authors have older manga as their sole inspiration, like an AI trained on its own sloppy answers. Also being under Croc-sensei's supervision (even if it was for spin-off a manga for young kids) probably taught the author one thing or two about allowing stories to end in time instead of dragging them for weeks.
