Anonymous 06/19/26(Fri)06:08:53 No. 1029681 >Have to sift through millions of irrelevant AI voice generated pajeet tutorials on the most simple workflow need in Blender >Finally find something good >Follow procedural texture node tutorial >Get every value and node exactly as it's shown in the video >Finally get to plug it all into the material output node >Instead of looking like the tutorial, the model turns completely black >Trying to learn procedural texturing has now been derailed and I have to waste an entire afternoon troubleshooting because this software was made by the antichrist Open source was a mistake and Blender trannies should be lynched.>>

Anonymous 06/20/26(Sat)04:14:22 No. 1029713 Can you make nice textures in Blender? It seems pretty limited. Using multiple vertex colours is a fun solution but i don't know how you'd get to 20% of what people do in substance designer. Really what i'm saying is, i should probably buy a sub to substance designer >>

Anonymous 06/20/26(Sat)12:04:26 No. 1029723 >>1029713 You can. I just use a pirated copy of substance because it's easier and gives better results. That's not to say it's impossible though. Like most things it comes down to being a skill issue. You watch a professional artist color something in using kids crayons or the kind of markers that are $2 for 3000. It looks professionally done because they have the skill to do it. Other people who lack the skill to do it complain it's only because they don't have a full set of Copics. A useless cunt blames his tools etc.>>

Anonymous 06/24/26(Wed)17:25:03 No. 1029834 Blender is the true redeemer, the fiery crucible in which all true heroes are forged. You think you can learn this from a video? The only thing you'll learn is the existence of European accents you didn't know were possible. You either make the doughnut or you get baked like a doughnut. >>

Anonymous 06/25/26(Thu)05:52:05 No. 1029841 Inspired by this thread i tried making a texture in Blender, it's not entirely procedural i used a graphic for the top pattern. I feel like you need more tools to do it well, selecting concavity / convexity for example. Its fun with geometry nodes because the control is real direct but i think Substance is probably going to be better. I want to look up how to make it better now, some people make real nice textures. >>
